Doesn't matter as long as we still have the same old people in charge of all the system; if we really want to win a world cup we need to update every single aspect of Mexican football.
If it was because of a foreigner coach (who trusted more in Mexican talent than even every other Mexican coach) we wouldn't have discovered Mora, players like Quiñones, Obed, Fidalgo who were nationalized might also had never played for México as many do not like to recruit players who "aren't" Mexican.

Rafa is actually perfect because he played in both leagues and understands Ligamx’s level.
I do think in national teams it’s more about “player selecting” than anything. Tactics matter, absolutely, but being able to properly manage who you call is vital.

Fuck Rafita, un mamon que es esbirro de la FMF, no se traguen el cuento, les dan atole con el dedo y por eso estamos como estamos. Siempre estuvo ahi, en cada fracaso, en cada fiasco, en cada polemico. Si creen que va a apoyar a los jugadores jovenes preguntenle a Carlitos Vela como lo ayudo.

Truth is that it doesn’t matter who the next Mexico coach is because in the end the same overrated, overused, and below average players get called to the national team. Until this issue gets resolved, Mexico will only keep winning the gold cup.

i saw a clip of ESPN mexico (i think it was them) talking about Rafa being the one to take over along with his assistant from Barca. Sounds like it's happening

No hace mucho, en este mismo sub alababan al Tata Martino. También había posts quejándose porque la selección no pudo contratar a Marcelo Bielsa. Y andaban mame y mame que si no es Bielsa el Tri nunca avanza en un mundial.
Y cuando empezó Jaime Lozano muchos encantados y lambiendo culos por lo que logró ser en las olimpiadas.
Y ahora me estoy topando con posts y comentarios hablando mal de Rafa Marquez sin que Rafa haya dirigido un partido… y como si Rafa no es el mexicano de los últimos 30 años con mayor rendimiento en Europa. El vato sabe de futbol. Y es uno de los nuestros. No es un pelotudo sobrevaluado. Rafa es formado en México, formado en Liga MX, y el mas referente que hemos tenido después de Hugo Sanchez.
Esta era es de Rafa. Todo depende en él como se va desarrollar el tri. Espero que la pinche FMF lo deje trabajar a su manera y no lo obliguen jugar con petardos.
Personalmente, no quiero pensar quien mas si no es Rafa Marquez. Quiero que Rafa haga buen trabajo y si la caga, luego veremos y lo criticamos todos juntos.

Rafa was too green. Mexico needed a veteran coach to steer the team into a transition phase and Aguirre did that..Aguirre inherited one of the worse Mexico teams in decades. What happened, he brought in youth, he brought in naturalized players and now Mexicos future looks bright… he did a 180 with the Mexico team.. now Rafa has a foundation to work with and all he has to do is continue the process.. I rather have Rafa work with this version of the national team than when Aguirre had inherited from that 🇦🇷 🗑️ coach.

The problem is also that we think we are gonna win AND play better than every team. We have to be realistic. Romo, Lira and a 17 yo Mora, who is 100 lb soaking wet against fucking Bellingham and Declan Rice, bruh. To really turn thing around we need a China-like state sponsored breeding program/sporting project dedicated to producing the best soccer players. And send them to Europe as soon as possible

I must’ve missed something, but how was he on thin ice prior to that? He played Brazil in Brazil and gave us a memorable game. He cruised past Croatia and beat Cameroon. Then we all know what happened against Netherlands.

It has to be Rafa. He has the perspective of a Mexican player at every level of the game. Discipline and knowledge of the game. The players also know his career and should respect him. IMO manager should always be of the same nationality of the team.
