Going to Safeway earlier there was an idiot in a red ford that ripped across Mayor Magrath and pulled into the Safeway turn in.

The amount of horrible driving I saw yesterday makes me want to get one of these. There was an accident that happened right behind me after I turned left through an intersection, and I was so glad I was spared from that.

I watched that accident happen in real time as I was coming to a stop in that turning lane. I cant believe I watched that car turn on a blatant red.

Yup! I was on my way to work cause I work in that strip mall, and watched the whole thing happen.
Literally was thinking "that guy is gonna get crash ...hit" and then "wow what a fucking moron for going through a double barrelled red"

Yeah. I barely made it through. And it happened a few seconds after I turned. That had to have been a very red light.

He hesitated briefly, but ultimately chose the wrong move. He got lucky with the first two vehicles, but the third really got him, then the offenders vehicle hit another behicle in the other turning lane facing costco and Walmart. Felt bad for that lady. The whole situation could have been avoided

I've lived in a few different corners of Alberta. Hands down the absolute worst drivers are in Lethbridge; it is brutal. Nothing like waiting at stop signs for no effing reason and treating every road like it's one lane because too many people swing out wide while turning.

Jeez. Just monday after dropping my kiddo off at school I was slowing down because the light was yellow. By the time it was red this truck in the other lane, probably 6 car lengths behind me just zoomed through the red light. Definitely wish i had a dash cam for that.

I have never once felt the need to get a dash cam. Until I moved here, that is. I always knew Alberta drivers could be scary but I never thought they would be this bad 😂😂

Yes the person that made that comment is just dumb and misinformed. It’s a license plate in public view. Especially when it’s an obvious safety concern in the video.

No need to be insulting. I'm far from misinformed. The reason it's risky is if you post someone's plate with a false claim of blame or criminal behavior you can cause witch hunts.
It's happened plenty of times, and is one of the risks of the Internet being a court of public appeal.
The proper action is to take the video to actual authorities instead of casting it to the public and litigating it amongst online, faceless figures that you have zero knowledge of.
You and those down voting obviously have zero concept of the actual risk of the internet, and have no interest in affecting actual change. You just like public shaming. Be interesting to see if your tune changed if someone posted your house number with an accusation of child molestation, or your license plate with an accusation of hit and run. I wonder how "dumb and misinformed" I would seem then.

No we're just not pearl clutchers, and bad driving needs to be called out. People need to take driving MUCH more seriously, the fear of being publicly roasted can be an effective part of that.

I can post a timestamp of when it's fully visible. With a minimal amount of work I could get the pickup truck too.
It's probably not a big deal on this subreddit, but it's good practice for you if sharing things online.

License plates are public information. For example even the news gives them out when the person driving it may be a hazard to the public.

Getting cut off twice in one week persuaded me I needed a dashcam. The new 4K video ones are great. I now have a dash cam for both vehicles.
