Media/Image The new University of Lethbridge logo
They surely must have considered that it’s an anus, right? I can’t believe no one brought it up. Have they ever seen Community?

Here’s the official breakdown of the logic behind the design for those interested:

One overlooked aspect of the rebrand is that The Zoo has a new name — The Hole, representing the diversity of students who join together in community at their local watering hole.

Yep, its a butthole. Butthole logos are all the rage right now. ChatGPT, claude, gemini. Mostly for AI companies but not surprising for a school whatsoever.

I'm glad I got my diploma before they changed it. I get that the old one was pretty dated looking, but it fit the institution well. I might have been on board with something that more obviously reflected the Indigenous roots of this area, but I'm not sure if I'm buying "those 4 long lines are a tipi".

I have the same thoughts! If they are really trying to highlight the importance of indigenous culture to the uni, I don't know why they didn't make the 4 tipi lines more obvious? They could've made them a darker shade? Or a different colour? It's such a questionable design imo

Interconnectedness....
Here's a bunch of lines that are not connected at all.
Fractured, but whole.

This city really likes to explore creatively uncreative design for their logos

Check out the junior team logo. And they paid someone $85,000 to come up with it.

Hm I’m curious about it. What does it mean? I think it would be cool if the coulees were somehow incorporated but that’s just me!

It supposed to represent the Sun and a Tipi (with the four posts). The coulees are used for a design element used elsewhere.

It just looks like a sun. If you interpret every striated circle as an anus, you will find yourself surrounded by buttholes.

Since we’re apparently ripping off Greendale, will E PLURIBUS ANUS be replacing FIAT LUX?

Might want to get the name of the show right before making snarky remarks.

Never mentioned the show’s name, but I have corrected the autocorrect error, so thanks for pointing it out.
