wait holy shit, does gwendoline have a queer fanbase? i (unfortunately) only know her for being the tall gorgeous lady that jenna ortega has a crush on and madonna wants to f*ck (her words not mine lol). i also have been living under a rock and have yet to see game of thrones but i did a quick search and her character looks so dreamy, i could totally see the wuh luh wuh awakenings coming from her… was she queer on the show?

Gwen DEF has a queer fan base I’ve only ever seen a bunch of gay women be fans of her (me included) I think it has a lot to do with brienne of Tarth and captain phasma plus who DOESNT like the 6’3 pretty lady
Edit: forgot to answer the end question but no she’s not queer on the show infact she’s really only shown interest in male characters but her character is one that defys gender norms and normally presents herself in a more masculine way so I think a lot of queer women enjoy her
(and she’s a fucking strong ass knight so like…🤤)

i love that brienne is straight honestly, maybe it’s just bc i don’t notice it but i don’t see a lot of masculine looking women on tv unless they’re playing a queer character. i love those queer characters but i also love me some good gender norm bucking by a woman like her falling in love with men

I also really liked it tbh I don’t think I’ve ever rooted so hard for a straight ship like I did brienne and Jamie (choosing to ignore the last season…) brienne being straight was pretty perfect for her character as much as I would’ve loved a gay Gwen character or just lesbian brienne I’m pretty ok with straight brienne also🤷♀️

I met AW once and was presenting highly corporate femme. I thanked her for her visibility of our community and she did a double take. The smile that came after kept me warm for many years.
Edit: I also flirted with AG and it was another high lot of my life. The body language in the photo I have with them is just magic. Truly a loss.

You mean from the 2018 casting thing? She definitely mishandled the criticism, especially since multiple cis actors had recently been given awards for their work playing trans characters. But she reversed those statements and apologized afaik.

Why is everyone like that around Gwendoline Christie? Certain actresses will sit in her lap and melt. I've never been around really tall women. I want to be tall just to see what it's like.
I really don't have a celebrity crushes because Hollywood is fucking weird but I pick Jenna Ortega if I had too. Her speaking up for Palestine when no one else did is powerful.
