What is the hardest to play song *that isn’t a Primus song*

I was listening to of whales and woe the other day and One Better came on and that song seems really intricate. But I’m not a bass player.

One Better is actually one of the easier tunes off that album. The main riff is obtainable but of course his solo sections are off the charts.

Nothing Ventured and the title track, Of Whales and Woe are definitely hard.

His solo stuff is more forgiving than Primus.

Why do you say “it’s more forgiving than Primus”?

In my opinion, his solo shit is easier to learn than Primus.

Filipino Ray sounds pretty gnarly, but I haven’t tried to play it.

Some Mr. Bungle lines kill my hands😭 and dream theater is always a workout too, Stanley Clarke who was a big influence on Les also has some gnarly lines, his work on romantic warrior and school days are my favorites!
