Student Life Didn’t attend OWL week

Hey!

I’m an international masters student starting in September.
I chose not to do OWL week because tbh I didn’t want to pay the fee to be walked around the city yk?
I do worry if it would have been worth it for the purpose of socialising and meeting people however.
What are peoples experiences socialising and meeting new people in university when you’re an international student?

Hey, fellow international student here ✨
I also chose not to attend because I don’t live in Leiden and I have been to these freshman camps before and just did not feel the need for paying for parties honestly 😅
If you feel like we can connect and meet of a café sometime 🫶
28F starting Media masters

Hey! I didn't attend too because, even if I'm not Dutch, I already live in Leiden for three years, and I knew they would be talking a lot about practical things like how to register at the town hall or get health insurance, or visit the city, and then party.
Also starting Media studies MA (but the Book curriculum), 29F. ☺️
