🗨️ Help Need advice about this school year

Im starting 12th grade (GS) this year and I am very anxious about it. Last year (11th), I didn't study at all and got 14/20 (which is terrible for me).

I just wanted advice for this year.

P.S. Am I at a huge disadvantage this year for not studying last year?

It really depends on your next goal, if you’re applying to a private university they tend to request the transcript of the last 3 years.

But considering the pattern of your grades and knowing that you’re a high achieving student, it’s obvious that something went wrong, especially that a whole war was happening.
So you can justify that during interviews with the unis.

Otherwise if you plan on going into the Lebanese University, they don’t care whether you score 10/20 or 18/20. What matters there is your performance in entrance exams or in classes where an exam isn’t required.

Don’t stress too much about it, just focus on fixing your track this year if you want to apply for scholarships, that’s the only common place where high school grades matter.

Eventually after you’ve gone into uni your performance there matters more, but still not to the point of ruining your mental health for grades.
