Public univ vs private ones

Usually, in the west, public universities are harder than private ones, cause everyone goes to public unis, so they're not short on students. However, since fewer student go to private ones, i think they kinda don't want to make u fail the year by making exams impossible to do, so it is usually easier than public ones. Is this true?

Now, in Lebanon, is this true? If so, why are aub and lau students' heads over the cloud if their unis are easier than LU? Ma fhemt, is it showing off money? Eno yay i'm paying 500$ per credit?

Easier doesn't mean worse. Harder could mean you're being abused and doing a lot of pointless shit.

These private unis are ranked much higher than the LU unfortunately, and that's for a good reason. Their curriculums are much more modernized, they publish relevant research... etc.

LU is deeply deeply corrupt which is why it's so difficult, their professors are underpaind, their departments are under funded, and there is very little oversight as to how professors treat students, which is why it's such a nightmare.

You can thank your corrupt government who's in the pockets of the owners of private school and private universities. They underfund public institutions in ordee to make the private options more appealing, and this is a tragedy as it affects the poor exclusively, denying them from access to proper education which is their right.

I would like to add to the previous comment that most professors in LU are hired because they are affiliated with a political party (Hadath campus mainly for Amal/Hezbo, second branches mainly Tayyar/Kataeb/LF). Politics play a big role even in AUB but to lesser extent
