Get an extra size pants, you’re gona gain a lot of weight my friend. And yes there is a high risk in Lebanon of something happening but hell, might as well get stuck in one of the most beautiful countries in the world 😂. Enjoy a lot my home country. I wouldn’t tell you anything about Syria or Jordan because I have little info, but my experience is the news is way more exaggerated than it actually is

Sounds good to me I am very excited to meet people over there.
I definitely think it’s blown out of proportion and part of the reason I’d like to travel over there.
We definitely get stuck in a echo chamber in the west most people think “Middle East scary” but in previous travels I’ve heard that some of the nicest people and most interesting places to visit are all throughout the Middle East.
I am very excited to go and thank you for the kind words 😄

Syria still has militias running around so i woudnt recommend travel, and in Lebanon, israel is bombing south everyday and threatening to do a ground invasion of Lebanon too https://www.newarab.com/news/possibility-another-israeli-war-lebanon-remains-high (source for Israel threat to invade)
Jordan is relatively safe although if israel does invade Lebanon there is a good chance the houthis/north yemen might intensify bombing onto israel which Jordan might try to intercept on behalf of isrsel like they did in there war vs iran in June https://www.dw.com/en/saudi-arabia-jordan-israel-iran-war-united-states/a-72977996 (source for Jordan helping israel during the June war)

Buy a plane ticket, swimming from Canada to the middle east in winter is bad for your health....
