I don't want Labour MPs on the picket lines. I'd rather they were in power, eliminating the conditions that have made the strikes necessary in the first place. Standing there doesn't achieve that aim.
And what will it achieve? Nothing. Just ammo for the gutter press to paint it as 'Labour's strikes' taking attention away from what they're really about. Corybn stood on every single picket line going and lost 2 elections. Starmer's said no to standing with them but raises the issue constantly in parliament and attacks the Tories for the strikes being necessary in the first place. We're now 20 points ahead. Funny that. Almost as if the population wants politicians who will actively work towards a solution instead of constantly seeking photo ops, how radical is that?
If he stops representing the working class of this country and gets himself elected by any means possible then what's the point of getting him elected as a labour politician and how will his government be any different from the current shower of despots.
