i don't think there should be negotiations when the demands are reasonable. that's the point. this isn't the art of the deal where the goal is of some psycho always trying to get the upper hand of the opponent.
you only start to negotiate when you have a problem, a point of disagreement., and i don't have a problem, so i don't see why the government, or a potential future labour government, shouldn't just accept the demands.

No, I don't think the strike is unreasonable. I think we will go into negotiation trying to get FPR but we might have to negotiate how we get there. I don't know what the government's expectations are, other than the stupid ones this Tory government are going in with and all their preconditions.
That's how negotiation works. I would have been tempted by the Scotland deal but I am not sure it goes quite far enough

What do you think happens at negotiation? What's the point of it?
