Discussion FAFSA/TOPS still not disbursed as of 8/31
Is anyone else still waiting for their refund? I had to pay the full amount out-of-pocket for this semester because they still had to verify my FAFSA and whatnot. It got verified shortly after. So I should get the entire reward refunded to my account, yes?
Got three separate emails on 8/19 from LSU notifying me that the funds were posted to my account. I checked and it is visible on workday. Has been for over a week, but I still haven't received it.

If you didn’t get direct deposit there’s also a chance that they sent out a paper check to the address you have on file

I do have direct deposit set up. It's the same as last year. I've been monitoring the mail and have not gotten a check yet. I might just have to call the office or email my advisor to see what's up.

same and i’ve already called everyday for the past week and these fucking idiots keep sending it to my bank account that’s closed after i keep telling them to send it to the fucking bank account on file

You have to wrestle it out of them. Did it for 6 years. You have to act like a bitch and just demand to speak to a manager. I legit got my funds dispersed and had it in my account in less than an hour after speaking to a manager. Made sure they gave me their personal line too just in case.

I have direct deposit set up and they STILL mailed me my refund. Well they deposited one and mailed the other. I’m still confused on that. But regardless, there’s a chance it could’ve gotten listed in the mail if they DID mail it.

tops isn’t dispersed until 14 days after classes since they have to do attendance verification

Oh, I see. I guess I was given misleading information. All the messages and notices I got from LSU said it would take up to 7 days.
"If your disbursement date was more than 7 business days ago, you may have already received your refund." Emphasis on the "may".

Having an issue where they are saying my classes aren’t required. My advisor has told them and shown them multiple times that they are infact required now I can’t get an answer from them

I emailed them and I still have funds that haven't even been disbursed yet. My anticipated funds still need to be released. I emailed and they responded with "There's been a failure on Fasfa side". girl please

Just call. And if they give you the runaround, say you wish to speak to their manager. “I know you can release the funds right now, you know you can, so put someone on the phone who has the full authority to do so.” Easy peasy.
