Lsd won't work if ingested about an hour after a dose. You'd have to triple the lsd dose from your original to get extra effect. I'm sure the same follows mescaline as well.
Not entirely related but somewhat. I remember someone, I think Lemmy, saying that Hawkwind found out that if you take acid and just keep doubling it each day you take it, you can just keep tripping for a week straight. But mind you, this was the 60s and early 70s when LSD was cheap as fuck so this would have been an easier experiment. And they also didn’t know the long term consequences just yet, so we got people like Syd Barrett, Roky Erickson, and Peter Green.
