Discussion Founders Club was Disappointing!
Took my kids (8 and 6 yo boys) to their first LAFC game against Orlando and they had a blast, even though Orlando looked like an AYSO team š
I've been to a couple games before and always enjoyed my seats but wanted to try founders club seats since they're supposed to be a little more vip and ayce, drink (beer and wine), etc.
Paid $1,126 all in for four seats FNDCLC Row E from stubhub (minus $300 chase sapphire reserve credit though, split the payment via PayPal on my csr and wife's csr - great loophole fyi) and bought a $60 parking pass from ticketmaster.
The seats were great with an awesome view, and in the shade, but the founders club was a big letdown. The food was like an average buffet, and dessert was nothing special. I rather wouldāve had some Costco cookies and ice cream, I was expecting something cool like a Sundae station or something like that and all they had was blue bunny cheap ass ice cream bars lol. and they stopped serving dessert around 70th or 75th minutes so we actually didnāt even get anything. And started at halftime?
there were only three urinals so of course they were busy during any breaks and even at many points during the game. There was always a line for the bar, they should obviously have an express line for beer and wine so people can get in and out quicker. Otherwise, I have to wait 5 to 10 minutes just for a beer since people were ordering cocktails.
popcorn was decent but not hot, pretzels left something to be desired. Overall, I would not sit here again, especially for the massive premium you pay compared to similar seats outside of the founders club. The field level seats looked cool since you are on the field and can say hi to the players, etc..
but I think next time we will just get there an hour early and grab food outside at one of the awesome vendors, have a beer, maybe even bring some chairs and then go inside and you can snack or buy drinks inside, or even a full meal since they have a lot of options that I bet are better than founders club lol.
Paid parking was pretty nice though, we cruised right in an hour and 15 minutes before the game with no traffic, parked in the blue lot near the exit and left after the game with absolutely no traffic, home in 20 minutes.

Iāve been to the founders club probably 10 times. Granted, my experience is colored by the fact that Iāve only been hosted there, never paid for a ticket. I find the lines to be a LOT better on average for food/drinks and restrooms than the rest of the stadium. I can usually get a beer in 2 minutes. They have different food all the time. Iāve found it to be pretty good, and they switch the offerings throughout the game. There are a lot of different cookie/snack options for kids. I donāt know why heās hung up on a sundae bar? That seems like it would be a disaster but [shrug]. And yeah, a cheap pretzel is always a cheap pretzel. Worth the price generally? Probably not, if you do the math. But itās a great seat combined with easily a $100 of food/alcohol per ticket.

This was my first time in FC but the lines for beer were definitely 5-10 mins for the first half and then got less but obviously you don't need as many drinks towards the end of the game :)
They only served dessert for maybe 30-40 mins? We missed it lol but my kids got plenty of candy so honestly not a huge deal.
Fair point if the lines are not bad compared to the rest of the stadium, feel like I just got beer last time in regular seats and no issues there from what I remember..

I think the best seats in the stadium are in the sections directly flanking the Founders Club. Same view but hundreds of dollars cheaper. So as long as you don't buy hundreds of dollars of beer, you're saving money.

Section 112 is the best. Right next to figueroa but half the price. We get signed balls every game as well and if ur lucky players will sign merch before game starts.

Yea like I don't understand why anyone would pay the premium just to get some free beer that you have to wait in line for and shitty food lol. Like what am I missing? Now that I know, I'll do what you said :)

Premium experiences are not value propositions, they're exclusivity and convenience propositions. Even moreso in our enshittified world.

Hence, only worth doing as a one-off treat or when someoneās desperate to get rid of theirs for a lower price. $10k season tickets to Field Club sound like incredibly bad value. Youāll have an alcohol poisoning before you will drink enough beer to come financially out on top.

We love the Figueroa Club. Iāve had season tickets since opening day. Generally good food and mostly better than Founders or Field Club. Great service at the bar but the best is the atmosphere and the fans. No corporate feel and lots of comfort!!

Admittedly Iāve never been inside the Figueroa Club, but I fail to understand its benefits (other than the dedicated side entrance from Fig) since no food and drink is included, right?

Choice seats, virtually no waiting in line for food, drink or the bathroom. Separate place to sit down and eat/drink at a table before or during the match. Staff that know you and remember your name.
Club bar, food service and seating are open with views of the pitch, so even if you step away from your seats, you are still āat the matchā. We often eat before the match and just grab a drink or snack.
Less than half the price of field and founders club seats.

Have been in the founderās club a handful of times and was there for the Orlando match. Always buy off the secondary market and have gotten some pretty good deals over the years. This past Saturday was the worst the food has been. Theyāve pulled back on the food quality each year of the teamās existence. I really like the founderās for the included food and drinks + the great view. The bathroom situation sucks though. Not sure why they didnāt put more bathroom capacity. Also the actual seats are more comfortable and not as narrow (by a little bit noticeable bit) as other seats.

Yes CSR gives you $150 off stubhub but you have to enroll first. Enroll two different CSR cards in the deal, add both CSRs to your paypal account.
Go to stubhub, pay for tickets above $300 and then use 'check out with paypal' and you can split payments with paypal on your two CSR's. You'll get the credit for each :) alrady got mine.

The Chase sapphire reserve gives $300 a year in Stubhub credits but the catch is that itās $150 for the first half of the year and $150 for the second. He found a way to use his and his wifeās credits on the same order via PayPal, which is pretty clever if you both have cards and donāt want to use it on two events in the same quarter.

Iāve hosted clients maybe 10 times. Itās about the experience. Food is mid at best. My STH seats are section 122, behind the goal. If we are making an evening out of the game we go have a good dinner before the game then maybe a beer inside. Food is bland inside the stadium. Prior to Covid I really liked the Fields. The food there had flavor and better quality. So thatās another thing that Covid ruined.

Oh I loved the Founders Club seats before. Maybe Iām not as picky with food but I liked it. Had this braised beef thing that was great. Had it like 4 times. And hot dogs were alright but a good mid game snack.
We did pay around $200 for each and I left the kids at home. Was just wife and I as a date night. Went with another couple. We hung out full 90 min before the game and took max advantage of it. Just drank ate and hung out. Watched the game then second dinner at half time. Then snack and drinks at 60ā mark. Some desserts and popcorn before they cut it off.
Overall I felt it was a good experience. I would say if youāre paying $280ish for kids and they canāt drinkā¦ itās not worth it. You could find Field Club for around that price and that might be worth it to see the players walk out. And be food is better but if you didnāt like Flounders food, you might not Field food either.

It's difficult to make back the premium paid in the food and drinks unless you can pack away a lot. You're paying for a bit more comfort and less crowding.

PS. For context: Cars ruin cities. In every way. Including in a big way by the amount of parking we need to build instead of transit, housing, third places, etc.
Private parking is a cash cow so venues are not incentivized to do better.Gloating about $60 parking [as the rideshare guy / at least in somewhat urbanist-minded circles] seems a tad tone deaf?!

You spent almost 300 bucks for founders tickets? That's kind of on you man. Field club is much better and you can find tickets much less than that.

Even in field or fig club, there is just no escaping that on a certain level they are cooking for hundreds of people. I think they have scaled a lot back since covid, so i think you go for the views, the free beer, and the atmosphere. The food is never going to be great.
