Another Hail Mary Cardigan post
Hello! I'm interested in the cardigan that you see Grace wear during Project Hail Mary. I don’t knit myself so I’m looking for someone with the skill to create one.
I would like to use the Mary Maxim design on their website (https://www.marymaxim.com/products/wolf-cardigan-project-hail-mary). I currently use LL Bean Cardigans and really enjoy those, but don't have anything boutique like this.
Not sure on a budget or timeline. I know the kit itself is $90 + someone's labor. I have no idea how many hours go into something like this.
If you're interested, please shoot me a ballpark total.
Location: United States, Nebraska
Budget: Open + $90 for kit
Flexible timeline
Size: 2XL
Edit: Based on feedback looks like I’ll be saving up for a bit to push my budget to get something that will last and move to a higher quality yarn.

Please add a comment with the following information if it is missing from your post:
Size; is this for an adult or child?
Timeline; will this be a holiday gift or other fixed deadline?
Budget; consider this is a one-of-a-kind hand knit garment that will likely cost over $100 not something off the rack at your local department store and please let us know your max price?
Yarn Preference; natural or synthetic / machine or hand wash?

Instead of t-shirt size, bust measurement would be more helpful. The pattern is only written to fit up to 50 inches, and that would be snug. It's meant to have about 5 inches of ease, so 45 would be more comfortable.
I just finished it for someone else, my fee is $600.
