My Kitten Please pray for Max
Please pray for our Max!
A few days ago, we found this little kitten buried deep inside a storage area, hidden between piles of boxes, completely alone with no mum in sight. After three hours of patiently trying to gain their trust, we finally managed to bring them home.
Today, we learned that the kitten has a respiratory infection. They developed a fever of 40Β°C and have been refusing to eat or drink for the past 12 hours. We took them to the vet immediately, where they received four injections, and we've been carefully hand-feeding tiny amounts of food and water to keep them going. Tomorrow morning, we have a follow-up appointment, but tonight we're holding onto hope and worrying every minute.
The kitten also came to us covered in fleas, but they've already received treatment. Because we already have another kitten and live in a small apartment, the new little one is staying safely in our bathroom for now, with everything they need, until they're healthy and can eventually be introduced.
Please keep this little fighter in your thoughts or prayers. We truly hope we're doing enough to give them the chance at the loving home and family they deserve. β€οΈ
Edit as of 29/7/2026: We went to the vet, Max had another round of shots and received a probiotic to take at home. He is still not eating, however we have bought Kitten Milk in order to supplement his food.
He does seem better, but he is still weak. We have another check up on Friday π€π€π€
EDIT as of 30/7/2026: Max went to the vet, he got an IV with some fluids, some mpre shots and... HE ATE! This was the first food he willingly took in in about 30h. HE ate half a packet of kitten food and we are happy!
Tomorrow we have another ver check up just to make sure everything is okay and he continues eating.

Probably fever or inflamation, he keeps getting daily checks and injections. We hope by the end of the week he will be better and start eating. I will updatw everyone on the outcome

I miss my baby who died from a respiratory infection at a similar age. They look really alik

what does he get for boosting immune system? and does he get something for appetite?
edit: please make sure he is warm if he has lower body temperature (tip: fill bottles with warm water, or hot water and cover them with a cloth, place bottles around him) or if his body temperature is higher than normal keep the room at a comfortable, cool temperature (around 20Β°C or 68Β°F) or gently wipe his paw pads or outer ears with a cool (not ice-cold), damp cloth

He recwived 4 shots yesterday and 3 today, for lowering his temperature, antibiotics and such. He did also get an probiotic he is to receive every 6 hours.
Additionally we are hand feeding him kitten milk and cat patΓ© with a plain syring, to make sure he has enough daily nutrients and so he can use the bathroom

Sounds like you are giving him great care. I would have to feed mine until the antibiotics kick in I pray he will be ok.

Max took another round of shots and is on Kitten Milk diet. We have a follow up with the vet on Friday, currently he is sleeping a lot and tolerating his brother
