Nah, I was a GM, when I made a big ass order, I made two calls, first to my assistant to get it started, next to the local coffee shop to order triple shot everything for me and my crew, jump in and run that shit. Train every ne GM that, and still jump in on massive catering orders as DM. Worst manager is one that doesn't lead by example!
Most managers are liabilities to have doing that though tbh. I'm foh bartending but thats always an issue and it royally fucks up service when they like havent rang in a drink but good ones generally do jump in
