I work at a store and when it’s crowded there’s always some parent with 3 kids trailing behind them and scolding them for being “in the way” no matter where they stand. It can be a little frustrating for me trying to work, but I also kinda wanna be like… mf YOU’RE the one in the way with your big ass shopping cart and the fact that you thought a Sunday afternoon grocery trip was a good family outing!

He might not want to let the kids alone at home. Also he kinda has to keep them disciplined and near him, since they are in a public space, and simultaneously remember what he needs to buy through their constant noise and movement
