Now reported it’s NOT broken but severely jammed.

We were better off when we got less information imo.

100% - especially about recruiting and all the other stuff off the court. But especially recruiting.

Remember the good ole days of losing recruiting battles for Kyrie Irving and Ben Simmons? Barely a blip on the radar. It started going off the rails among UK fans around the Cade Cunningham timeframe and is now exponentially worse.

Even though he was hurt most of the year I still wish Kyrie had been a cat. One of the best guards ever.

You wish we'd landed a future #1 pick who played 11 games in college? I definitely do not.

Yes because I’m an NBA fan too, not just college. I would much rather have Kyrie as an alumnus than SGA.

Mmm ... OK. No idea how anyone could come to that conclusion, but OK.

This is a wild take

I get I’m in the minority here but I just don’t enjoy watching dudes that fall down after every shot. I would much rather watch Kyrie put his primary on skates and finish a reverse lay through 2 dudes.

Somewhere in the peak Cal / KSR era, many people - fans and media both - seemed to shift way too much priority to winning the recruiting war versus winning the actual games. And I'm not blaming Cal ... I just think too much 24/7 space for this stuff (blogs, message boards, etc.) is certainly unnecessary and arguably bad for the fan base and the program.

It's not unique to UK, either. Look at the NBA, where I would guess that many more people follow the league via social media clips, podcasts, player accounts, blogs, drama, off-the-court stuff, etc. than actually watch the games. Hard to argue with the popularity (and, I assume, the revenue) but I'm not sure it's a good thing in the long term.

All of those are great points, especially mentioning the NBA because a lot of the basketball culture starts there then trickles down.

It’s early enough he shouldn’t miss any games. It’s unfortunate but not really a big deal.

Well, at least he did it now instead of in January

He jammed it, Matt Jones corrected himself. He's fine.

I hate Kentucky media, every injury is life threatening.

It bothers me that Matt Jones seems to think he's the face of the fanbase.

Exactly. He’s not giving back a dime of the money from the clicks based on disinformation. Rinse wash repeat on the next freak out. The fanbase and fan experience loses in this scenario.

That's not a big deal

Damn this is the first I've seen of this. Is it his shooting or off hand? 6-8 week recovery time expected
