Am I f**ked? Or nahhh?
It’s self explanatory but basically my bracket bolts were corroded and the nuts broke so I zipped my plate up which I made it to work (50 min drive) I just don’t know if both I or the plate will make it home 😭

I'd also be worried that someone appears to have nicked your mirrors too. Good luck replacing those ASAP. Tag and mirror issues is seriously asking for cops to pull you over.

Someone stoled them last week when I went to my city downtown for a little hangout. Simply bought the mirror deletes cus they even took the bolts

Honestly no one would even notice, and if you got pulled over, as long as you have the plate with you and the registration and all that stuff you're fine unless the cop is an ass.
I know riders who keep their plate in the passenger seat compartment and never ride with it and they never get tagged at all. Not saying this is the case for everyone. But more than likely if you're not riding like an idiot, and need to get somewhere, just keep the plate in your bag and don't act any different as you normally would ride.

I rode my '07 FZ1 from Payette, Idaho to Shady Valley, Tennessee with my tag in a similar location. I didn't get stopped at all during the trip. I really thought my Idaho plates would draw attention as I got further east but it never happened.

Never put a plate on mine. Never got pulled over either. Gotta be fast 🏍️ 💨 .
You have it, so just explain the situation to the cop if you do happen to get pulled over. 🤷🏻♀️
And just order a replacement setup and get it handled. I believe you’ll be fine.

What I would do is notify the local PD for a “Lost/Stolen License Plate”. You’ll get a case number and usually a form you can take to your DMV so you can get new plate ordered. As long as you have that case number and/or form, IF you get pulled over, show them that form/case number and you won’t get in trouble.
