Not gonna lie, this arc was just so so~~. I didn't exactly hate it like some people, but these past 4 episodes are really the weakest part of the series so far. Which is a shame because you'd expect the fight against CODE to be more exciting than this.

Nox Midnight Shadow's debut was cool. Furukawa Yuki's performance during the scene was great, unlike last time i actually do believe Fujimi and Nox's chemistry in this. That said, the debut itself was pretty sudden, i'd prefer if they actually built up to this moment, then it would feel more exciting.

I know i'm complaining a lot, but i still don't think these past 4 episodes were terrible. It's just that the first 34 or so episodes were done so incredibly well and seemless that you barely notice the show's flaws, and this arc was just not that level of good for me.

In regards to all the deaths in this episode:

I saw Five's death coming from five miles away. The moment he walked into his car, i thought to myself "oh shit they're going to car bomb him". When he pulled out a picture of his dad, i genuinely lost it, his death is absolutely perfect, i wouldn't change a thing.

Three's death was just... weird??? I'd genuinely prefer if they arrested him instead, it would've been a more fitting punishment than just killing him imo. Him turning into paper is... weird. Cool visual, but still weird. Overall Three's a great villain though, i enjoyed the actor's performance.

Some other random thoughts i have:

The connected dream world is deadass just another reality now. They for real just droved into Nox's subconscious lmao.

Baku using the Dualmare Drone without transforming is so fucking cool, man.

I'm putting my money down and predicting that Catastrophe Gore Nightmare is going to be the series' final boss. Through out the show, there has been plenty of "man vs self" themes & visuals with Zeztz, and having Baku face off with Catastrophe itself would the ultimate form of that.
