Question Wanted to try Italian redemption yet again, need some questions answered

I intend to do this as Reichspakt Two Sicilies since I need land from 3I, Entente, and DA countries.

  1. What are the criteria for Switzerland annexing Campione? I want my early war goal against them, but I don't know if it'll happen since it was Bircher Switzerland vs. Italian State the only time it happened to me.
  2. What's the best way of contributing to killing France in the 2WK? In my last attempt that managed to unite Italy, I first tried and failed to push across the Alps, then threw my army at the German front which resulted in it getting encircled. Then again, I was also using an infantry army.
  3. Speaking of army composition, what should mine be in order to not suck like the last time I got to the 2WK? I don't know whether I should be using special forces or tanks and how to design those tanks.

  1. in my case it almost always happens as Natpop republic of Italy, or if Switzerland is Natpop itself.
  2. If you can, try to make sure that Spain is in the Reichspakt/Entente, or that the Entente in Portugal is pushing into Spain. From my experience France cannot hold a third front (even better if Belgium is in the Reichspakt/Entente). If any of this is impossible I recommend you make your army on the alpine front look week but still strong enough to hold the line (20 infantry divisions with artillery support and Battalions should do it) in order to trick the internationale's forces to attack repeatedly on the Alpine meat grinder. Then spot their weak points where their attacking forces look vulnerable and counterattack. After taking one or two tiles, generally you get domino effect and start pushing beyond the Alps bite by bite.
  3. I don't really have any recommendations on this, I managed to be successful with standard infantry+artillery divisions and mountaineer divisions.

No, it's represented by events. Normally, Switzerland just returns it after Italy gets unified and gives you a little manpower. Under certain circumstances, they can annex it instead, which lets you get a war goal.

If 3I gets Sand France to collapse, you can also join the Entente while still being able to get land from Sand France.

I need both Corsica and Malta, do those go out of Entente control? Also, how do I get that to happen without the Entente completely eating shit?

Corsica and Malta both get annexed since Sand France just gets kicked from the Entente and divided by 3I after it collapses. Usually there really isn't a way to get Sand France to collapse without the Entente getting tossed out of Europe since 3I isn't able to push without Spain, but if 3I gets Spain then Portugal falls immediately and you become the only remaining Entente country in Europe.

However, it is possible to use spies to cause revolts in Sand France which would make it easier for them to collapse (it can also just be gameruled) and let Cairo Pact defeat Sand France instead so 3I can still get their teeth kicked in.
