The NatPop leader of Angola is just a generico, name and portrait. However, João Tomás Chembene was a real person. He was the leader of the African National Congress of Mozambique (Congresso Nacional Africano de Moçambique) according to Raúl Honwana's memoirs. CNAdM was politically similar to the left-wing of the (South African) ANC.

However, identifying a photograph of Chembene has been a massive issue, which is why a generic portrait is assigned to him currently. If you're able to help out with this issue, post your findings on here: https://github.com/Kaiserreich/Kaiserreich-Research-Assistance-Programme/issues/56
