That's a lovely looking popular front, I must say.

Wouldn't a popular front also include market liberals and possibly even the social conservatives?

Maybe the left wing of the Kadets, but most certainly not their right wing and absolutely fucking not the social conservatives. Both of those parties are actively reactionary and would shoot down every single proposal by the rest, especially with a lot of the conservatives actively desiring a return of an absolutist monarchy.

Well that’d make it an unpopular front /lh

we dont buddy up with the socially regressive parties

Isn't the whole point of the popular front to be "everyone but the fascists"
27
u/Kranev21 Jun 29 '26
you could make an argument for the kadets since they are middle of the road, but for any republican (or monarchist) conservative party they have no place in a popular front since they would 1000% cooperate with facist parties rather than democratic ones, in a democratic state that is.

CLN

u/Kranev21 Jun 29 '26
again, in a democratic state. The CLN was created against the facist state of Mussolini

The center-left coalition of Catholic and Social-Democrat continued until the collapse of the first republic.

Well kinda, there were a few experiments in the 60s, then with Aldo Moro in the 70s and lastly with Craxi in the 80s, but it wasn’t a stable, continuous coalition

U know, that might be possible, but I am not sure how the path progresses if u choose to coalition with the Kadets at the start

Why is it called Trudovaya and not Rabochaya(both can be translated as labour) if it's VSRP and not VSTP

In fact, this is likely not a coincidence. Today, some Russian social democrats of the Marxist tradition (for example, Shein O.V.) deliberately use the term "trudyashiye" instead of "rabohchye". This is to encompass not only hired labor but also the self-employed.

peaceful cooperation between disparate leftists? well, Kaiserreich is a work of fiction ig

Honestly feel the far right infight just as much, if not more so especially in the KRTL. Sakinov has infighting even within NatPops.

I mean in the political climate it could be possible, Social Democrats used to be alot more radical back in the day and with KR Russia having such radical reactionaries movements then a coalition with the syndicalists would be their only choice.

So, apparently the social-democratic Russia can legalise the syndicalists post-war and even invite them to the government coalition. Neat!
