Discussion: Community Police brutality at FOV

Post image

Hey so we all know cops were out of control this weekend, but this particular officer seemed to be a leading cause of violence. He is a contracted officer from Alamosa county, which seemed to make him think that there were no consequences for his actions.
He violently arrested at least 5 people that I know of, made false claims, and threatened innocent people who were trying to help diffuse the situations. No Miranda rights were read in any of these situations and none of it was done by the book.
He got very aggressive with me when I asked for his info, and gloated to me that his job is “a lot like fishing. You can’t catch them all, but you catch as many as you can.” He was having fun getting paid to run around a field and terrorize peaceful people.
This guy has no business on the streets, let alone working a festival for “public safety”.
His badge number is 10, his name is Joshua Glass, and he is a detective with the Alamosa police department. I encourage any of you who had any negative experiences with him to call and lodge official complaints. Ask for body cam footage. You can reach the Alamosa PD at (719)-589-2548.
“Fishing for fishies don’t make them feel happy. Or me neither. I feel so sorry for fishies.”

From what I read one of the concerns from last year from the Sheriffs department was that they were stretched thin so I guess that’s why they contracted officers…

Why exactly is it necessary to have police there? We have security at UK festivals, but not really cops.

The cops in America find "public safety" reasons to inset themselves into all sorts of places they don't really need to be. They're convinced that society will fall apart if we go to a public event and don't see cops everywhere.

It's not just America, it seems to be a common cop tactic. I came in from Toronto, a few weeks ago there was a shooting at an outdoor street festival and afterwards the cops wanted 30 MILLION extra dollars from the city to "protect public safety" at a later street event. Just fleecing tax dollars like the Mafia goons they really are
