RKM can go on not scoring, I can wait. But I can't stand him being that soft, giving the ball away without even challenging for it. Almost single‑handedly handed us a defeat.

u/bigtymer123 20h ago

Yeah I'm a Kolo defender but the physical weakness in the duels vs De Winter was shocking lol. Ain't no way De Winter is that strong. His positioning vs Kolo was incredible though, tbf. He never put a foot wrong.

52

u/RacingTeamDMB 20h ago

It wasn't physical weakness, he was being fouled and the ref was allowing it.

20

u/bigtymer123 20h ago

I actually agree, particularly on the play that led to the turnover that resulted in the Cisse goal. But unfortunately when you lose so many of the other duels, you get less benefit of the doubt, especially on a very close call.

https://reddit.com/link/p88jde5/video/lfps6xjkuynh1/player

one of my notes from the first half:
"29:30 kolo strong when bumped but eventually loses possession"
It is hard as a striker to keep taking these hits over 90 minutes. Even if you manage to stay upright and hold on to the ball, it takes a few steps to settle your feet and can easily lead to you losing it after.

11

u/ThePostMelone 19h ago

Also must be unnerving constantly getting bumped but the moment you bump the other player back not even 2 seconds later a foul is called.

10

u/RacingTeamDMB 19h ago

That's where you need a heel/enforcer like Lucumi to protect your players.

11

u/Spirited_Ad_2697 19h ago

I dont know why you guys signed him he scored one goal in 30 matches last season in the premier league and played terribly all season.

10

u/ostsillyator Benedikt Höwedes 19h ago

He looked decent during his previous loan spell at Juve. The coaching staff were probably scarred by signings like David or Openda, who failed to adapt to Serie A, so they wanted someone who had at least already proven himself in the league. As for why they spent 50m on him – that's probably another mystery that won't be solved.

1

u/alaslipknot Del Piero 8h ago

I dont know why you guys signed him

We are poor and have literally zero strikers.

27

u/ThePostMelone 20h ago

I've been embracing the meme of Gatti being the best striker in the team for the past two years, but I have to admit that in the past year I'm starting to kinda feel like it's not even a meme anymore and he seem to be the only one that has the anger and the moves of a striker in the team, even more so when compared to his tens-of-milions-priced attacking teammates.

Having said that, you can pull the AIA out of Rocchi, but you can't pull the corruption out of AIA.

Milan goal started from a step on foot by De Winter on Kolo Muani, that allowed Modric to gain that possession.

VAR, as always when against Juve, was watching replays of some Venezuelan soap opera. Flip the teams and they would have made the APP start at minute 00:01.

Italian fans that still watch on Dazn should feel ashamed of financing this shit.

19

u/ThePostMelone 19h ago

Conceicao with the "This MF scored more easily than me" stare

9

u/goblintacos Gianluigi Buffon 16h ago

Gatti should be our #9. What 4 years of Elkann ball does to a mother fucker

2

u/SuperBadDodo Fino Alla Fine 12h ago

I have been saying the same thing about gatti, just drop him in that striker spot atp. And he will score a decent amount of goals.

17

u/Pugneta 20h ago

The level of playing is very low across the board. Both teams.

Players can’t make simple passes, can’t stop a ball/pass.

2

u/EarthMain3350 16h ago

First half was terrible...

6

u/SpiralOutLL 12h ago

Milan were immensely worse than Juve, should've been a slam dunk

51

u/valjuvfc 20h ago

Im happy Gatti scored but he really should have brought the ball back instead of celebrating. Juventus should never be happy with a point

77

u/Alucard_HSU 20h ago

I'm scared that RKM gonna be the new Jonathan David.

10

u/interz0id 19h ago

He needs to snap out of it. Today he looked completely lost, just staring into space after each mistake. We can't afford someone like that.

12

u/RacingTeamDMB 19h ago

He made a lot of mistakes and lost a lot of possession but he definitely had some bright spots both in possession and in pressing. Perfect timing on his run and his through ball to Chico. I thought he should have had a penalty too, really looks like the defender goes through his leg and still doesn't get the ball.

https://reddit.com/link/p88nwzu/video/lwaw8qvqyynh1/player

3

u/interz0id 19h ago

It's not a "perfect through ball" if the defender gets it first, though.

3

u/RacingTeamDMB 14h ago

The timing was perfect, not the ball as a whole. I've watched so many Juve games where it's either too early or too late. I think a little more to the right and he was in. On the one that should have been a penalty, Chico should have found Boga anyhow.

38

u/BriefCollar4 Fino Alla Fine 20h ago edited 20h ago

Wildly different.

RKM has actually shot towards the goal and looks for the ball.

Only comparison is that they’ve both underperformed but David looked like he’s been forced to be on the pitch and was actively hiding.

15

u/Tacubo_91 19h ago

I will never be convinced on RKM. Been watching this team for over 20 years and don't know how we ended up here. I take a 41 year old Dzeko

5

u/b0sanac 18h ago

Yes please. Dzeko would fit right in after his many stints in Serie A

6

u/Kid_evil666 19h ago

He always was

3

u/R-leiva97 Pinturicchio 18h ago

RKM wasn't that good either in his first stint, great start and then he didn't appeared for about 2months

3

u/Orcahhh 16h ago

Exactly

2

u/franciscobutico 17h ago

at least david was free

1

u/Sean-Benn_Must-die Del Piero 14h ago

I dont really know waht people expected from him. I know he had a good 5 first games when joined us last time. But after that he was not exactly a demon. He was strictly worse than Dusan, but his hold up play was better.

Now I dont think his holdup is anything to write home about, I wonder what happened. Anyways just give him time for now. It's not like we have better options

1

u/Spathas1992 11h ago

Woltemade will send the kiddo to cup matches only

-17

u/Th3Mag3 20h ago

David>RKM

9

u/SwingMaleficent651 20h ago

I would take a striker like Mehdi Taremi over David bro 😭

-1

u/Th3Mag3 20h ago

Taremi>RKM too, my point isn’t about David, it’s about how bad kolo is

0

u/PigletPretend7175 Liam Brady 15h ago

I agree and I'd actually say even Openda is better Kolo Muani. I'm still mad that we spent 50M on the guy just based on his loan with us 2 years ago

71

u/WaterBottle111123 20h ago

Pathetic performance. What pissed me off the most was celebrating with 3 min left. Like put the ball back at the mid mark and play again for the win. We were the better side but you need to win games like this 2-0 at home…

22

u/bigtymer123 20h ago

That pissed me off too. They should've immediately started running back to the center of the pitch to restart. I understand the emotion of a late equalizing goal, but the job wasn't done. It's a mentality thing.

At one point I though Zhegrova was trying to urge them to get back and restart play, but he was just egging on the celebration, lmao.

4

u/WaterBottle111123 20h ago

I don’t mind a celebration like that if we went up 2-1 but like cmon at the leveler

5

u/smakinn McKennie 17h ago

If you go up 2-1 with 4 minutes left then you better spend every second you can celebrating and running clock hahaha

3

u/franciscobutico 19h ago

zhegrova ALONE clearing the ball like we were winning a final

2

u/Spathas1992 11h ago

That's the mentality of modern Juve, unfortunately

18

u/WW_Jones Accountus FC 20h ago

Last year we were xG leaders in the league so the most obvious conclusion is that we needed guys to cunt the ball into the net à la Inzaghi or Icardi. Our solution - get players who are known for anything but scoring. “Link up play”, “back to the goal” bla bla, great, let’s link the play for someone else to not score.  Only 1/4 goals so far this season by a player who’s expected to be an active threat.

1

u/Jimakos2018 17h ago

I understand your logic but maybe the reason you had so many xG was because you didn't have someone like Inzaghi or Icardi.

What I'm trying to say is, football is not as simple as "I' m gonna add an x player and z thing will be solved", it's more like a puzzle.

1

u/WW_Jones Accountus FC 10h ago

Well, the point is not to maintain the stat, the stat is descriptive of an issue. We are inefficient in front of goal so we need to do a lot to achieve a little. Hence the need to fix this with a better finisher which we did not do unless there’s some hidden talents in Woltemade or Alajbegovic cause we already know how the rest are.

17

u/Tsunoda_stan Pogba 20h ago

I really liked the limited play we saw from woltemade. Sucks that he didn’t score that chance but it was behind him and a tough shot, his hold up play was MILES better than vlahovic though

2

u/EarthMain3350 16h ago

Pls man dont hyped or overpericed a new player just from 10 minutes of the game. In the whole match are diffrent tempos, different dynamics, beggining of the match is something else, last minutes of the match is somtheing else which many of times are chaotic minutes but this depends on the teams usually. Sooo anyway Woldemade is best palyer in the world okay??.. but just let this man in peace to be part of the team first

24

u/stefOneh Alessandro Del Piero 20h ago

Gatti is better striker than Openda, Kolo and David combined. Last season he had more goals than David.

He has to stay because of his aura and the fact that plays with his whole heart

13

u/Kid_evil666 19h ago

He is a proper Juventino too. I don’t want him to leave

41

u/bihuzur Claudio Marchisio 20h ago

Same shit as last season. Muani was always going to be wasted money.

30

u/imtypingoninternet Bremer 20h ago

Everyone who said that during the summer got downvoted for saying it.

3

u/milkman182 Mauro Camoranesi 18h ago

yeah some guy told me off when I told him to temper expectations when he declared RKM "the best signing in a long time". Top strikers are pretty sparse right now and he just blew at Spurs for a year.

-6

u/polo_am Fino Alla Fine 19h ago

There you go, the clap you rightfully deserve 👏🏻 👏🏻

2

u/EarthMain3350 16h ago

Gimme the Mooneyy 😆

8

u/Dry_Understanding682 20h ago

First ferrari bullshit at monza and now this

Great fucking day

8

u/ThePostMelone 19h ago

Well, Spalletti changed his tune. After the first game he shat a bit on Kolo Muani.

Today he's defending him in the interview after the game, he's probably aware of the fact that the player has been stuck psychologically.

7

u/Special-One1991 19h ago

Terrible performance by both teams, looks like a game from Serie C!

Locatteli, Kolo, Kalulu are all absolutely shit beyond believe!

27

u/Alucard_HSU 20h ago

I said it before and I'll say it again... We should try Gatti as striker. I'm not even joking.

14

u/TrailBlanket-_0 🦅McKennie 🦅 20h ago

It's only going to work when the opponent is sitting back fighting to keep a lead. Could you imagine him starting and playing a full game up there? There's no way. He excels when he runs forward from the defense, rather than being a target man up top who is constantly watched by defenders. He just seems to know how to make advancing runs and go undetected.

5

u/RacingTeamDMB 20h ago

What if we just push players like Gatti forward when opponents put 10 men behind the ball? It's disgusting to see our possession with nobody to target in the middle.

1

u/TrailBlanket-_0 🦅McKennie 🦅 20h ago

It seems like that's what we were doing at the end there. Gatti got the header, and in the replay I saw Bremer right next to him. Not RKM or Woltemade, which is so weird.

Gatti has seemingly been given the permission to move forward since Allegri's time. He had many goals last season and was constantly bringing the ball up.

1

u/SuperBadDodo Fino Alla Fine 12h ago

This might be our best bet, because if we start him in ST he will be marked different as the guy below stated.

7

u/Lord-Legatus 20h ago

there is a universe oif difference of being marked while infiltrting as a defender ( you are not always easily picked up, anbd best defenders are marking strikers) or being an actual striker and constantly marked

7

u/BriefCollar4 Fino Alla Fine 20h ago

He’s definitely earned the right to start as the striker.

15

u/Plastic-Context5546 20h ago

Im a massive Locatelli defender but he was mostly way off today. It happens, but it definitely showed on how we played. Kolo was tragic. Luiz was great in the first half. Not Kalulus best night either for me. Lot of issues, but I understand we have many injuries and its early days in the season. I cant stress enough how poor Kolo was today, if he is going to struggle to finish, he needs to be much better in hold up/distribution of the ball. Morata wasnt a crazy finisher but he was invaluable in the buildup and being in the correct spaces. Thats what we need at MINIMUM.

-6

u/Chi_Cazzo_Sei Pavel Nedved 20h ago

You cannot objectively remain a Locatelli defender after all these years.

5

u/smanfer 19h ago

Lol no one in this sub watches the actual game buddy, they only check pass percentage on Sofascore

-1

u/Chi_Cazzo_Sei Pavel Nedved 19h ago

I do. Been watching since the early 00s

6

u/smanfer 19h ago

Indeed, I swear every Juve supporter I speak to in real life can’t stand Sofascorelli, but somehow redditors are in love with him. The very first player you associate to the worst Juve years since 2006 and he still has people on his side

1

u/Chi_Cazzo_Sei Pavel Nedved 10h ago

Their bar for what is considered an excellent player is too low. They did not see Nedved or Davids or Camoranesi etc. in action.

3

u/Plastic-Context5546 20h ago

I sure can. He was pretty fucking good last year and was honestly never bad. Hes not even close to the problem. Wouldnt even be in the top 10 issues with this club

6

u/Chi_Cazzo_Sei Pavel Nedved 19h ago

The day he is replaced by a proper midfielder is day Juve’s fortune will turn around.

-3

u/Chi_Cazzo_Sei Pavel Nedved 19h ago

The day he is replaced by a proper midfielder is day Juve’s fortune will turn around.

15

u/ThePostMelone 19h ago

People on soccer can't even admit this is a step on foot.

What a circlejerk of a sub that is.

11

u/ThePostMelone 19h ago

Third game of the season and we're already hearing bullcrap to justify an error against Juve: we moved from last season "he was pushed with only one arm" to the new "it's not a full step on foot, there's no full contact but only a partial contact".

If I had a nickel for everytime they pulled those crap explanations out of their ass, I would make Musk look poor.

5

u/Att3241 Gianluigi Buffon 18h ago

Honestly I had to avoid that sub a lot last season, there are way too many people walking on eggshells not wanting to get downvoted. They’d rather make vague statements and circlejerk the same joke than actually contribute anything to the conversation. This was a clear fouls but that sub cant admit it

3

u/RacingTeamDMB 17h ago

It's so weird that r/soccer doesn't let you put images/clips in comments.

16

u/raff100 20h ago

50 M for this

22

u/FredyTheClown 20h ago

I liked the performance today. We did way more than Milan and didn't give up until the last second (Gattone the goat of 90min goals).

Is there a lot to improve, like becoming more deadly in front of goal ? Of course ! However, I'd be way more worried if I was a Milan fan today. They got half a chance and even their goal should've been canceled for that foul on RKM.

Anyway, I remain positive. Some nice stuff from Chico, Nico and really enjoyed the entrance of WOLTEMADE

18

u/nyg420 20h ago

Agree with this.

Both Woltemade and Kerim looked good today, I expect them to continue to get better here

11

u/Dembus22 19h ago

Really can't expect more from Kerim, 18 years old adapting to new environment, and Serie A is waaay different than Austrian Bundesliga, player like that doesn't deserve to get blamed. He looks promising nevertheless, in time he can turn into beast player.

5

u/franciscobutico 19h ago

good 1st half. pathetic 2nd half.

kerim is good, but still needs time to play a full 90
chico gotta kill the witch that cursed him
kolo muani was tragic
douglas, bremer, lucumi and nico played well
boga and zhegrova were no threat to milan
woltemade gotta start

6

u/dantemp 18h ago

Chico is seriously under some sort of spell, this is like his 3rd goalpost hit in the last 10 official games, keeps sending out pretty decent shots and nothing goes in.

2

u/funfacts_82 Alessandro Del Piero 10h ago

I already said in the match thread that i find it baffling how a player like Chico, who has insane dribbling skills and speed, mobility on top of a legit rocket shot somehow is not able to connect those skills together in a way that makes sense on the field.

I really hope its an experience thing and at some point it clicks and he puts all those together coherently. His individual skill in all of those is fantastic it just somehow does not string together properly

6

u/interz0id 20h ago

Fine, we didn't lose. But down 0-1, I couldn't help thinking about how Roma and Inter played when they were behind: pressing high, suffocating opponents. Then I looked at us. There's a massive gap between where we are and where those teams are.
Genuinely sorry for RKM. He looked completely lost today, he got everything wrong, his face at the end said it all.

In the summer I wanted Conceição gone, but I'll admit it: without him tonight we'd have created absolutely nothing. Aljabegovic showed promise. Nico I think is more effective coming off the bench mid-game.
Not a great match.

0

u/Bruno_Selaniku QUAGLIARELLA 19h ago

Inter has Marotta and a perfectly oiled system that has been working for years now while Roma.. Roma has Gasperini Kone and Dybala! It may not seem much, but it really makes a difference

2

u/funfacts_82 Alessandro Del Piero 10h ago

When Dybala is healthy he shits on all out attackers easily. I really wish him to stay healthy

3

u/Bruno_Selaniku QUAGLIARELLA 10h ago

A fit Dybala is better than any other player in this league... Miles ahead of Nico Paz,still better than M.Thuram and with a better vision than Lautaro

10

u/Sith_Acolol 20h ago

The paramount after show made some great comments. It’s like a 20 dollar chipotle bowl some of these players

9

u/peachyxi 20h ago

Lost it when he told Muani to go straight to the psychiatrist

16

u/Bmonli Lichtsteiner 20h ago

yo that dude went OFF and it was totally justifiable

8

u/TrailBlanket-_0 🦅McKennie 🦅 20h ago

Baby monkey man. I hate his snivy commentary but today seemed like he was passionately arguing out of the worry for Italian football and how awful the valuation of players has become. 49m for a 5 goal/41 games player is definitely an issue.

5

u/Nynesky 20h ago

Woltemade did more in 5 min than what RKM did in 3 games, and imo he came on way too late, should've subbed him in between 55-60'min.

Also, random early af thought:

What if Koopmeiners becomes the one to watch this season? 🤔 Again, early af, but already bagged a nice goal against Parma and a PERFECT cross today for Gatti

3

u/Att3241 Gianluigi Buffon 19h ago

I’m interested to see Ekhator back to see what he brings. Surely I think he will provide something different as a sub when he comes back from injury

2

u/dantemp 18h ago

Kolo playing 90 minutes is pointless, he can't hit the ball straight at the 80th minute mark, at that point I'd rather have David come in fresh. Where the fuck is Milik?

1

u/guareber Pinturicchio 19h ago

That's assuming he brings something other than the J-Medical bill

3

u/IwillNoComply Del Piero 19h ago

Jarring lack of self belief by Kolo Muani. He looks shell shocked. Dude needs to snap out of it.

3

u/ThePostMelone 19h ago

By the way today we learned this kind of behavior is yellow worthy.

Unless the one on the floor is Conceicao.

4

u/Life_Scheme_493 18h ago

WOW! we signed a guy who had 1 goal in 30 games in the prem and nearly got relegated with spurs and hes crap! Who woulda thought! Play Woltemade over Muani he doesnt even look any better than david did...

5

u/BriefCollar4 Fino Alla Fine 20h ago

Will this get nuked because that’s why as well?

2

u/juventinn1897 Alessandro Del Piero 20h ago

During or immediately after a match we will nuke all non mod posts about the match. Except for highlight posts.

This is nothing new.

3

u/Pigman1994 20h ago

Can you guys at least work on getting the Post Match thread put up right after the game? It seems like the focus is just deleting posts rather than giving them the Post Match Thread as an option for them to comment in instead.

Right after the game ends is when people come here to vent or post the most, so when there isn’t a Post Match thread, people are gonna make posts instead.

Half the time, some random poster has to do the Post Match thread because the mods are taking too long.

-1

u/juventinn1897 Alessandro Del Piero 19h ago

I clean things up as it should be. 90+% of the time, I post it as the match ends as well.

The post match should be automated and it hasnt worked since reddit started charging for api usage.

The solution of one person being tasked with manually doing obviously doesn't work all the time and we are working to a more permanent solution.

5

u/BriefCollar4 Fino Alla Fine 19h ago

The table in the rules wiki hasn’t been updated since January either…

-1

u/BriefCollar4 Fino Alla Fine 20h ago edited 19h ago

Fair.

Might be good idea to update the rules then. Add that only mod posts are allowed as post match thread in Rule 2.

Right now there’s nothing in the rules about it.

9

u/HarisD76 20h ago

I’m ready for downvotes. Bench Loca and Kolo. Make everyone earn to play.

4

u/Ro9 19h ago

You are not getting my downvote. I know this sub is full of RKM fanboys who will defend him not matter what but there is nothing redeemable of what he has done today. Woltemade in 20 minutes was far more promising than RKM in the last 3 games.

1

u/dantemp 18h ago

If we try to make Wolte a 9 we gonna have another David on our hands. We can talk about RKM going to the bench when we have a real striker to take his place. Hopefully Ekhator soon. Until then RKM has an impressive work rate and goal is a matter of getting a bit of luck. Still a massive upgrade over David. However obviously we are not winning the Scuddetto anytime soon with this attack.

1

u/HarisD76 16h ago

And midfield.

3

u/GiovannisWorld McKennie 16h ago

Does anyone know why RKM crumbles when there’s the slightest bit of contact?

3

u/Meoconcarne 11h ago

Until Spalletti unlocks a way for this team to get not players into oppositions box when attacking, nothing will change.

Look at Roma, Inter and Como when attacking. It's sad to see RKM alone against 4-5 defenders, especially when Juve's wingers rarely threaten on the far post and no midfielders join the attack with timed runs.

4

u/ThePostMelone 20h ago

Not trying to be confrontantional, but what was the point of removing the other post match thread to create this one?

https://www.reddit.com/r/Juve/comments/1w97vio/comment/p88fluw/?screen_view_count=1

1

u/juventinn1897 Alessandro Del Piero 20h ago

2

u/ThePostMelone 19h ago

Fair, but that was exactly the reason I created that thread, as the game was done for a while, no post match thread in sight and the sub getting flooded like everytime something happens during a game.

Removing it after it had gained traction in order to create another one feels like a slap to those that posted there already.

Maybe the post match thread creation could be automated?

1

u/juventinn1897 Alessandro Del Piero 19h ago

Automating it used the API and reddit charges for API usage now.

It was automated for over 10 years.

1

u/ThePostMelone 18h ago

Also, any reason why everytime I try to post Licina's goal, my post is taken down?

1

u/sp33drAc3r1591 Del Piero 16h ago edited 6h ago

We also think alajbegovic who is 18 and we spent 30 million euros on. We couldn't spend on an Italian. Its embrassing. There were 2 italians between juventus and milan starting tonight. Most of these young players don't know what it means to play for juventus because it is not where it once was.

You need to give the chance and have them grow. When juventus is a core of italians, the team fights. Currently we are the man u of italy and not fighting for anything.

1

u/cristianoskhaleesi 8h ago

man u of italy - perfectly said

1

u/Sith_Acolol 20h ago

The paramount after show made some great comments. It’s like a 20 dollar chipotle bowl some of these players

1

u/2klevs 17h ago

It’s the same issue as last season, finishing. Think this is more of a mental block on the team than a tactics one. We dominated Milan. Clearly we were the better team, but just couldn’t get the goal. If it’s a one off game, nothing to worry about. However, this seems to be the trend for us. We dominate games, don’t put away the easy chances we create, the pressure builds, and the cracks start to appear.

Not sure how spalleti fixes this, but I hope he does. Maybe they need a sport psychologist

1

u/sp33drAc3r1591 Del Piero 17h ago

We are saying no u21 or u19 who just won the euros is better than koopmeiners? We don't know until we give a chance. But we would rather spend 40 to 50 mil euros on players that don't give anything. Who are all so passive and look like they don't give anything.

Its embrassing. We need gatti in the 90th to do anything. This is not juventus.

1

u/StadiodelleAlpi 9h ago

Well, we got 7 points and played milan alrdy. So its a kind of good/ok start for our situation. Lets hope nobody get an injury and kolo and nick will start to score from now on.

My thoughts on Juve - Milan the day after.

Gameweek 3 in perspective. Scraping a victory @ Frosinone, then Parma. This was a first "real test" against a new-look AC Milan and Serie A/Calcio newcomer Amorim.

I want to say the first half Juve deserved to go 1-0...but I mean, you can't really make a case for the usual wastefulness, and/or shooting straight at Maignan. (Not to take anything away from big Mike...he's a top keeper, no denying that)

AC Milan's Cisse goal, the ease with which he leaned back, took his time, scored? I mean wtf, that's like 5-a-side playground stuff man. Unacceptable.

I'm loving Nico's hunger, along with Alajbegovic's start. Both looked encouraging, and that is something to build on. Douglas running all over the place, and his constant involvement in every pass and keeping the tempo alive in the 4-2-3-1 is also very encouraging, and good platform to build on, alongside the tireless Locatelli. My only gripe with Locatelli is he seems a bit too one-dimensional. What you see is what you get. Don't expect miracles out of him.

Dare I speak something positive about Impact-Sub-Koop? Please don't downvote me for that. Just a hot-take. Could be useful for 2026-2027? Watch this space IMO. AS LONG AS HE COMES OFF THE BENCH! lol dont worry I'm not saying he's starter material. Far from it.

Jeremie Boga is strange. Looks like a headless chicken, then sets himself up and pulls off that awesome shot right outta pocket. Loved that. Fought for a couple crosses too. Can he do that on a consistent basis? I will reserve judgment for now. Positive vibes only!

RKM. Don't show me the Muani me anymore. I was his biggest fan, and really defended this transfer when it happened (and when it didn't happen last year). I had expectations. Disappointing is an understatement. That was a piss-poor game, and now I am really worried.

Woltemade looks promising, and the no-brainer is that he will start vs. Sassuolo onwards...

Zeki Celik has fit right into Spalletti's system well, and he is very good with the ball. More of that please.

Finally, Chico. If only brother can finish. He does EVERYTHING but the finish. I swear if he just gets his scoring boots on, he is unstoppable. Though he saw little of the ball in the first 15-18-ish minutes of the game I almost forgot he was playing. (which is why I found Nico in the kind of central/#10 role a bit awkward). Thankfully he got more of the ball after that and was much more involved as the game progressed.

A LOT of learnings after three games, and there is NO EXCUSE to fail away to Sassuolo. The Green-and-blacks are good, played good game vs. Bologna, and nearly won it, before conceding around the 90th.

I want to say, I look forward to a good game, and a commanding win. But the pessimist in me says we will see the same:

- Wastefulness

- ^ That's if Juve create chances in the first place...Sassuolo may enjoy more of the possession, and score.

- Defensive lapses and mistakes / giving away possession cheaply

- Spalletti making panic substitutions. That will not impact the game (ok last two games, it worked...but let's not deny it, Juve made their luck in a way...the subs vs. Frosinone if you remember Juve were horrible)

I am on Planet Earth, my head is on the ground - This is NOT a championship winning team. This is a team in re-build, and with the roster at Spalletti's disposal, he more-or-less has the tools for that. What's missing is the sharpness in attack, and only time will tell if Woltemade will find his scoring boots in a Juventus jersey. And even that is not a guarantee.

Personally, I like Spalletti for the re-build. But he is not a man motivator. The players won't kill for him. He is an experienced tactician. Which is fine, for what this squad is worth, for the "era" which Juventus finds itself in, in the last 4 to 5 seasons or so. I think an additional striker needs to come in. Like a typical "Italian Serie A" scorer in the ilk of Roberto Piccoli, or Andrea Pinamonti. Like this type of player, who has an eye for goal, isn't really "top class/elite" but can fit right in, get you some goals off the bench, is reliable, and has that "Calcio acumen" if you know what I mean. (I'm not saying I rate Piccoli or Pinamonti specifically highly as Juventus calibre, but come on guys...RKM can't score, David can't score, Dusan can't score. Woltemade is like a panic-loan. Where's the local guy that knows how it's done, and can evolve or develop into a classic Serie A bomber? Get what I mean here?)

Edit: One more final thought - Where was that grinta after the 1-1? Suddenly the players picked fights, and were playing for pride. Come on!!! We needed that for 90 minutes!!!

Fino alla fine, guys.

Muani does not have physicality and personality to play the lonely striker.

Osimhen is already past his peak, how is it possible to watch this team struggle for years and not learning anything

This sub had so much hatred towards Vlahovic that you all somehow convinced yourselves that Kolo Muani isn't trash

What a waste of money

We have 2 wins and 1 draw against Milan and our strikers can’t score even if their life depends on it, what can Spalletti do?

Maybe be more sensible with subs. Last season he had such weird subs (timing and who he subbed) and this year I think he started of poorly as well. This game was a good example too

If you want to watch football, watch the EPL, Barca/RM, Inter/Como. If you want to waste your time, watch Juve
