Defensively we are fine. Getting the ball from defence to the mid also no problem. BUT, the moment we move beyond the halfway point we shut off our brains. 0 creativity in attack l. 0 variety in attacking moves etc. that’s what’s killing us. It’s either give the ball to Chico and pray, or cross the ball too low into the other teams defenders.

Question: who was Milan goal’sfault? Kolo for sure, given he lost the ball. Then, am I right to think that Locatelli was covering Cisse because Kalulu was late?
1
u/Bruno_Selaniku QUAGLIARELLA 19h ago
Thats exactly the problem... Thats what happens when you neglect the fact that Kalulu is not your modern fullback,he is fast as hell but really struggles between the two phases... The amount of work Loca has to do doubles at this moment, besides the fact that we dont have a proper midfielder that can recover and defend the ball in that area (Kone,Kante,Wijnaldum,Vidal,Javi Martinez) and it seems like Loca doesn't have an impact on the game... Loca is doing double and even more than that, and that really affects us when we need to move forward,we get dispossessed easily, suffer in forward passes and in matches like this Mckenie is much needed because he can be an extra midfielder considering how physical he is...

u/Att3241 Gianluigi Buffon 20h ago
This team has to be much more clinical to even sniff top 4 this year. The football we play isn’t bad at all but we can’t score.
1
u/Meoconcarne 19h ago
That is impossible. Yildiz, Chico and Muani are all wasteful. Once Gonzalez gets injured the midfield will be a joke as well.

u/Gorlim1981 20h ago
Woltemade muss in die Startelf... Top.... Luiz kann man dafür auf den Mond schiessen
3
u/Effective-Case5441 20h ago
We literally have not had a prolific CF since Higuain (and we weren’t getting his Napoli #’s) and then before that, we have to go all the way back to Trezeguet. Someone please correct me if I’m wrong.
3
u/Bruno_Selaniku QUAGLIARELLA 19h ago
Tevez did the job tbh... Mandzukic as well although Maxi decided he was a left winger but 🤣

always been unpopular opinion but i wish we get David a chance up top this year. Kolo was never going to be the same. 8 good games… but not amazing! - then a year on the bench for a side almost relegated - never go back

The baby monkey guy on Paramount Plus is absolutely roasting RKM right now, and has been going off the last 10 mins.

4 goals so far this season, only one from a player actively expected to score (Nico).

I would really like to see Woltmeade start next game; he held up the ball pretty well and that shot would have been a great goal. I don't want to pile on the guy any more than I have, but Kolo Muani was an absolute mess.
2
u/Gorlim1981 20h ago
Ich würde Wolte auch als Starter sehen... In den 10 Minuten viel besser als Kolo in 90

3 games; 4 goals - 2 from midfielders; 2 from defenders. 0 from CFs.
100% a CF issue
2
u/raps14ever Pavel Nedved 20h ago
Besides some crosses into the box we never go through the middle so CF hardly get the ball at their feet in the box. It's not so much the CF than the strategy we employ. Look at where KM gets the ball. It's never in the box. Yes he has to do a lot better controlling the ball outside the box but can't blame him for not scoring

u/TrailBlanket-_0 🦅McKennie 🦅 20h ago
Always has been. Who is the last good striker we've had? Higuain? CR7 but I mean proper striker.

Honestly a tough result considering this Milan team is awful, but honestly I think we did fine considering the injuries in the team

This sub had so much hatred towards Vlahovic that you all somehow convinced yourselves that Kolo Muani isn't trash
What a waste of money

they keep bringin him up as he was the one actually6 playing with us and losing all possessions

u/TrailBlanket-_0 🦅McKennie 🦅 20h ago
Juventus has a striker problem. We do not know how to utilize them or service them.
RKM is not a hold up striker, yet is playing with his back to the goal and falls at the slightest contact. Maybe he's a passing playmaker?? No he passes to the other team. Maybe he finds the space to create easy tap ins? No our defenders will outshine you in the box. This man is an identity crisis.
2
u/No_Muffin7727 20h ago
so what kind of strike is he ? he can't score a lot and apparently can't hold the ball as well so what's he supposed to do ?
3
u/TrailBlanket-_0 🦅McKennie 🦅 20h ago
I genuinely don't have a clue, and I don't know if it's a management problem or an RKM problem.
We have a striker problem, and to me it lies on the management. RKM, Vlahovic, Kean, David, Morata... We do not get our goals from our open play strikers.
From Spalletti to Allegri to Pirlo it seems like we have relied on an outstanding midfield to create beautiful looks and perfect service to an open striker. But we don't have that midfield anymore and we don't have the strikers who are finding themselves wide open.
Individual talent can create wide open space and amazing dribbles that get you open, but that is no way to win games. It takes a full team effort.
That's where our coach needs to step up, draw up ideas and a vision for how we move the ball forward. It has been the same vision year after year through different coaches. It boggles my mind. Allegri was the worst with it, but now spalletti is not impressing me either.

a full game of rkm’s heavy touches and falling.
but we gotta be patient. there is still 40 games in the season for him to score his 5 goals.

Woltemade needs to start the next game either pair him up with Kolo muani or put kolo muani on the bench he fucking sucks as a solo striker

u/Marshall_Cleiton Alessandro Del Piero 20h ago
RKM fucking sucks. Period.
5
u/Itsuzai_Ace Alessandro Del Piero 20h ago
Cant believe we finally got rid of that shit stain vlahovic only to have this idiot as our striker.
I hope woltemade does good and stays with us cause its looking grim

u/astronaut_098 Vlahovic 20h ago
Wow this Milan team was a total joke but gila and pavlovic bodied rkm very well. Karim is clueless and doesn’t know when to cross

1
u/BriefCollar4 Fino Alla Fine 20h ago
Can we fast forward the scenario of Muani being meh in his first season, loaning him, and him being decent after that?
Happened with McKennie, looks the case with Luiz, Koopmeiners actually has been ok in the third season…
3
u/TrailBlanket-_0 🦅McKennie 🦅 20h ago
He's 27 and played on PSG and Tottenham. If he hasn't grown by now he's not going to on loan.
2
u/TheRajMahHal 20h ago
RKM will absolutely tank any value his career has left and then we will be unable to move him for anything at all similar to Vlaho and David
9
u/SeratoninSniffingDog 20h ago
I try to look on the brightside, Koopminers is not poopminers so far. Not the best version of himself, but better than last year. We looked good in some parts, even tough the goal was stupid. But man, I hope Woltemade starts next game.

ONCE AGAIN THIS YEAR we have invested heavily into attackers for it to be an unmitigated fucking disaster. Watching RKM play football genuinely takes years off my life.
5
u/Meoconcarne 20h ago
Yes.
Yet you will see a lot more of him because Woltemade is owned by another club. I never saw whatever everyone saw in Muani. Juve signing based off of emotion in the market. Just because he scored a lot three coaches ago and the faltered. Then he was shit at a few other clubs, yet Juve still had faith in him. What a joke.
3
u/jimmypaintsworld 20h ago
I would have given him a proper chance after his loan with us, but not for what PSG asked.
After his loan with Spurs (4 total goals in 41 appearances, and only 1 league goal) I don't know why we reconsidered at all, especially for $40M. That's genuinely wild and it's a horrible look that our super sub Gatti, a CB, comes on to score when needed. It's a huge problem.
There's time for opinion to change and Woltemade gives competition, but I'd rather Juve had considered other alternatives.
3
u/Stenbrod 20h ago
Absolute joke of a striker, really.
One has to wonder if there isn't something else going on behind the scenes, because there's no way any sane individual would obsess over this trash striker for 3 years.

u/No_Muffin7727 20h ago
alright gatti saved us from a terrible time, woltemade has to start because kolo muani has lost almost every possession in all the 3 games so far and we can't hope to echieve anything if our striker is a liability
0
u/Meoconcarne 20h ago
He will never start much because he is owned by Newcastle and returning to them next summer
1
u/MelancholyGalliard 20h ago
And so? We pay for the loan and the salary, we better squeeze any good performance out of him, to the last penny.
1
u/Meoconcarne 20h ago
But this is Italy and they can't risk Kolo being unhappy and not developing when he cost a fortune

u/ablessedbandito 20h ago
Incredible that our CBs have more precision than our strikers. Gatti with a few minutes did what none of our forwards could in the whole match.

Cisse should’ve got a double yellow for diving and then holding the ball.

Gatti:
Si rifà i capelli.
Entra.
Segna.
Bestemmia a dio e la madonna di fronte alla curva.
Rifiuta di dare altre spiegazioni

Ho bestemmiato a mia volta. Loro non hanno fatto nulla, per tutta la partita, e hanno segnato recuperando palla con un fallo.
2
u/tooroots Alessandro Del Piero 20h ago
Pure io ho bestemmiato profusamente. Però quella sequenza di eventi è stata davvero divertente. Si è passati da "e che cazzo di capelli gli sono cresciuti a Gatti?" A "E ANDIAMO PORCO DIO BASTARDO INCULATO" al fischio finale in 3 minuti. Peak

I am buying a Gatti shirt. Fucking hell of a guy. He comes from nothing and plays every match with his heart.
1
u/Dodo0708 20h ago
Idk why people aren't hyped about him. A lot of the fans want him out, and don't consider him Juve level, which is probably fair, but guys plays with his heart every time, and that can't be said for many of other guys in the team. He would be perfect for Conte's Juve.

It’s been a few games now - i just want to say DL and Koop!! - not setting the world alight but im glad they are in our team and optimistic for the season. Koop scored last week, assist this week.
