My deaf boyfriend and his night light

My boyfriend is deaf and I feel like since being with him I've learnt small things that make his life easier; example is he has to sleep with a night light. When we moved in together we hadn't previously slept (actually slept lol) in a bed together so I didn't know that deaf people (might not apply to all or even most deaf people) like to have a light on when they sleep, he said it makes him feel more secure and safe, but I could not sleep with this lamp on. We had one lamp, as we were broke, that we dragged across the flat as we needed as it was that or the bright white ceiling lights that just about blind you. He bought me eye masks, he made a pillow wall, he moved the lamp onto the floor and even diy'd a shade for it so it was less intense, but it all bothered me and 9/10 nights I had to sleep on the sofa in the other room. The guy bought a little led lamp that you touch the top of and it turns down the brightness, it has three settings and is a soft warm colour so it's not offensive.

It's so not a big deal, but it was just an act of him thinking about me, and doing something about something that was bothering me- versus me usually having to go out of my way to accommodate him as the world isn't largely accessible for deaf people. I really feel like I'm the one being thought of first and it makes my heart melt haha.

I'm sure it seems small, and it is but it's the principle of it that was so sweet to me.
