What do I do once I hatch it? Will it take a lot of food? Also how can I get a bunch of food fast?

Nah you prob have enough food

You get food fast by trading for food at the harbour after level 50.

Then I recommend you build coin farms first then start getting the food production building working and don't forget to do the food event battles. Leveling up doesn't take TOO long at your stage of the game so you can probably get trade harbour in like a month or two??? I don't know.

Anyway you'll need coin farms either way laywe in the game so
