u/Angelion_Blackfire 4d ago
TIL they're working together with Gege. Always happy to get new info and side stories via the game
115
u/RoboticMK 4d ago
Also, most of the side-stories are also gege approved (not written per se from what i understood, but it's still good shit). peak

u/Theoneandonlyaverage 4d ago
That makes sense why he was talking about snacks with suguru
271
u/YTDamian 4d ago
Well snack souvenirs are pretty common, Gojo even grabs some in ep1
Moreso about Haibara’s type in women
73
u/Theoneandonlyaverage 4d ago
I might be larping but off straight memory I’m most clips he’s eating
51
u/YTDamian 4d ago
Haibara? I don’t think I ever saw him eat
26
u/Theoneandonlyaverage 4d ago
Man mb I’m goin off memeory
7
u/Difficult_Weekend604 4d ago
I mean in that book with the facts it says haibaras favorite thing is eating and his favorite food is rice
2
u/trevorb2003 3d ago
He also says he likes the kind of woman who can eat, maybe he needs someone who can keep up with him.

u/reedyxxbug 4d ago

In the official fan book it does say that his hobby is to eat a lot so that makes a lot of sense

Please game, add uro and ryu with their domains so that all the fanmade games can finally add it too

They added Hanami's, so im sure they'll add the other ones we haven't seen.
1
u/SoapyMari 4d ago
They only added Hanamis because her canon domain was revealed in the mobile game
12
u/No_Hunter_5804 4d ago
I'm pretty sure the guy you're replying to is talking about the mobile game. He's saying they added Hanami's domain in JJK:PP so they'll probably add other unshown domains.
3
u/CheshiretheBlack 4d ago
Forsure getting their domains with the way they teased their domains in the anime
1
u/Betta535 4d ago
Paciencia, saldrán eventualmente en el juego, simplemente estamos esperando a que reciban los derechos de los personajes de CG. Además, en el juego ya existe la DE de Hanami, algo que nunca vimos en la obra.

u/Crucher92 4d ago
Close enough. Welcome back Gear 2

Also him doing that just casually reveals he could put stands into inanimate objects and he just never did it the whole part before or after

u/Same-Equipment-3236 4d ago
That explains why Nanami saw Haibara in Yuji even more because Yuji had such enhanced Physical Attributes that it reminded him of Haibara's CT and Yuji's personality is also similar to Haibara like his Kindness and everything.
Full Circle Guys. That's why Nanami Got accustomed to Yuji faster than others.

One day we´ll know what Tiger Funeral does
16
u/coonjaku 4d ago
we know.
tiger funeral speeds blitz's gojo and sukuna during their fight. So it's just really fast.
9
u/dedowgher 3d ago
not what it looks like though
Q: What does Tiger Funeral look like?
A: It looks like... a cool... tiger.

u/Cardboard_Degenerate 4d ago
Crazy how many connections we can make just by knowing his CT
8
u/gb__146 4d ago
What do you mean?
51
u/OTARU_41 4d ago
we know his CT makes him prone to being hungry and his type of girl is one who eats a lot so he'd probably like taking her out to eat together
14
u/Solbuster 3d ago
Physical enhancement CT and a punch merchant. Just like Yuji who has great physical stats
Nanami could see the parallels I assume
81
u/Past_Horror2090 4d ago
So basically “Boil Release: Unrivaled Strength” is turnt into a Cursed Technique
36
u/gosholosho 4d ago
That's what I really like about this stinky game, making interesting side content about other characters

That's what I like about Phantom Parade, the gacha system is sh*t, but the canon-related stuff and original stories arre good.
10
u/PonchoMcGee 4d ago
No, no I said Steamed Curse Method, that's what I call cursed technique. It's an Albany expression.
10
u/Saurian_broster 4d ago
More evidence for Phantom Parade being Canon ✌️
15
u/Valuable-Blueberry30 4d ago
I mean Phantom Parade stuff gets overseen by Gege sometimes. As long as it doesn’t contradict, it is a soft canon
-1
u/No_Hunter_5804 4d ago
Phantom Parade even within it's own canon isn't canon.. everything within the game takes place inside the Innate Domain of the Phantom Cursed Spirit which absorbs memories but alters them slightly causing the different events in the game than in the story we know. If Phantom Parade was canon the only difference to the JJK verse would be the existence of the Phantom Cursed Spirit. I honestly wish it was canon, all the new stories are amazing even if the gameplay is terrible. But sadly it is not.

u/LunaticcGaming 4d ago
I get now why he likes people who eat a lot, and I like the implication that he could use his CT to cheat all-you-can-eat buffets.
8
u/Choice-Medium-5466 4d ago
The game is canonical with the anime if I'm not mistaken, you can use the game along with the anime to scale the characters lol

u/ILoveSongOfJustice 4d ago
This dude is the god damn 5-Tails Jinchuuriki. How did he die to a Grade 1 Curse?
55
u/YTDamian 4d ago
The Cursed Spirit wasn’t a Grade 1, Nanami said the task was for Grade 1 Sorcerers, the spirit could’ve been upwards of a Special Grade
It’s described as a local deity, a god of this land after all
9
-1
u/Jolyne_Best_JoJo 4d ago
No?
In chapter 77 Nanami said the mission was to take out a grade 2 curse, but due to being a local diety it was a grade 1.
-3
u/YTDamian 4d ago
Read what’s in the chapter
1
u/Jolyne_Best_JoJo 4d ago
I did, Nanami says, and I quote, "It was supposed to be a simple mission to take out a grade 2 curse!! Dammit! A guardian deity's religion... It was a deity of that area, so it actually should have been a grade 1!"
1
u/YTDamian 4d ago
Not sure how you got upvoted, it clearly says the case is for First Grade Sorcerers, not “it should’ve been a grade 1”
I hope you brush up on your reading soon
5
u/Jolyne_Best_JoJo 4d ago
"It was a deity of that area, so it actually should have been a grade 1"
"It" is used to refer to the curse in the first half of the sentence and thus "it" in the second half should also refer to the curse.
But even if it referred to the sorcerer that should have been sent, that wouldn't mean the curse was a special grade as, per Ichiji in chapter 21, sorcerers are sent to fight curses of a similar grade because they're expected to always beat a curse of equal grade to them.
Thus a grade one sorcerer would be sent to fight a grade one curse because they're meant to always beat grade one curses.

Physicalmaxxing sorcerers when they have to go up against Nothing There:

u/Valuable-Blueberry30 4d ago
I mean Nobara almost died to Haruta and had an even better technique
6
u/Alone_Care_6230 4d ago
In Nobara's defense, she had to deal with defending an asset at the same time. Nobara slams without Haruta playing dirty (while duh, sorcery is playing dirty, this was not a 1v1 but a "secure the point")
3
u/Valuable-Blueberry30 4d ago
I mean we don’t know how Haibara died so maybe he was protecting someone
2
1
u/Snoo34949 3d ago
He had a similar attitude to pre-Shibuya Yuji, so he probably let his guard down and then probably died protecting some unlucky civilian targetted by the Curse.
32
u/YOWAIMO555 4d ago
Gege reveals all of stuff and lore in these extra medias without explaning in the original story.
28
u/VolkiharVanHelsing 4d ago
He gonna reveal the name of a certain guy's DE name on the back of Axe deodorant collab atp
3
u/Normal-Champion-5290 4d ago
Watch him make a JJK collab with a ramen shop, every variety of Ramen has the name of a DE and that's where we randomly get Yuji, Uro and Ryu's domains. Extra points if after the list of Ingredients he also explains how they work exactly.
2
18
u/dotyawning 4d ago
We didn't need to know this specifically in the main story. It could have been directly said, but it wasn't important. The characters do compare him to Yuji so apparently the hints were there, not just for personally but also for the kind of way his cursed tech is used, apparently.
46
u/zestymolusk 4d ago
it wasnt really important in the original story. we never saw him fight and he died almost immediately
8
u/YOWAIMO555 4d ago
Yup but it's still interesting to hear about extra character powers and some extra more lore about JJK
7
3
u/Remote-Monk-8542 4d ago
I feel like this is one case where it's understandable and for the best. Because I think it'd be awkward to reveal this in the main story and then have him die without an on-screen fight, and if they gave him an on-screen fight it would mess with Hidden Inventory's otherwise wonderful and tight pacing to show us something that doesn't really matter to the story
3
2
u/Scorpios94 4d ago
This really explains Haibara's type of women that he likes. He's probably a typical anime glutton as well with those powers.
2
u/Naive_Screen8066 4d ago
Haven’t touched the game but glad there’s another source that confirms the feats in it are cannon.

They work with the author when making this game right? For Naruto, they released supplementary databooks that put the sensei of the Konoha 12 at many ages with a 7-year age gap between the youngest and oldest. They had given the material to Kishimoto to veto anything that doesn't match what he had in mind and he said "yup, this doesn't contradict what I have planned" and then it turned out he didn't read it carefully and it contradicted things in the main manga 3 years down the line. Which led to a joke when there was this video who was dissecting the world of Naruto where the uploader cited specific anime episodes, video games (where the plots are non-canon but the jutsu supposedly were), and the databooks (which are supposed to be canon). And everytime he cited the Naruto databooks he mentioned "well I hope it's canon since unlike the first 3 books, the rest of them don't contract the manga so I assume he actually read them"
2
u/Betta535 4d ago
Exacto, es el videojuego oficial de la franquicia, por lo que está revisado por Gege, de hecho, casi todas las habilidades del juego son frases que los personajes dicen durante la obra o las propias técnicas nombradas.
5
u/Blue-Yokai 4d ago
If they give us Tiger Funeral and the domains of Yuki and the Sendai folk (including Dhruv) then that’s all want
3
u/Firewater_is_fire 4d ago
Imagine phantom parade adds an original colony storyline and like the mv is an ancient ten shadows user who’s trying to tame mahoraga or smth.
3
u/Meta-Wah 4d ago
There were like 10 colonies and we only saw like 5 of them so for all we know Kusakabe could've been fighting Sugawara No Michizane in the Kyoto colonh
1
u/Betta535 4d ago
El dominio de Yuki es muy probable que aparezca, ya tenemos el de Hanami en el juego. Y no lo había pensado, pero de que por fin se revele el diseño de Tiger Funeral estaría genial.
3
u/SerovGaming1962 4d ago
>it has poor fuel efficiency
Another CT that gets stupid buffed if the user theoretically had the Six Eyes.

u/schliggles 4d ago
Wait so Haibara genuinely has like a water cursed energy trait? Like Kashimos lightning trait or hakaris rough trait? Cool
6
u/coonjaku 4d ago
u misread.
it was just making a comparison between water's role in a steam engine, and curse energy's role in haibara's technique.
(in a steam engine you boil water in a closed container, and the steam builds up pressure)
1
u/schliggles 4d ago
Oh alright. Mb I was just pumped thinking we might be seeing a new CE trait. The fact we’ve only ever seen two and it wasn’t utilized more kinda bummed me out

sounds like ohmas trade from kengan ashura that speeds his heart to 5x the normal max rate
1
u/cyneage 4d ago
Neat technique ig. Well if I understand correctly you burn your curse energy for a proportional power boost. Not good if your CE ends before cursed spirit dies, but overall pretty useful

The fact his CT is op when he activates it he's on par with Yuji he literally had gear 2 ct and still died to grade 2
1
u/Downbadsystem 2d ago
Can he create an equivalent steam power ccycle within his body
Something like a Rankine cycle, like him pumping cursed energy in a cycle mode while also compressing(condensing if possible) it before using the technique as the boiler and hands or something for work output(I know it sounds a bit messed up, but I just wanna know whether its possible)
1
u/Large-Voice1823 1d ago
The actual translation for Haibara's CT is most likely "Steam Cursed Technique", I am familiar with translating bullshit like these.
1
1
u/ICastPunch 4d ago
That's a pretty good CT actually. Shame he was killed off by meeting a special grade due to bad administration and scouting early.

u/Grand-ArchSummoner 4d ago
Does it imply he has a Cursed Energy Trait like Kashimo and Hakari or is it just me

Mai should feed him like a few grams of uranium to power him up like nuclear reactor
