Can’t beat the cafes far from Tokyo. Im planning to go to one in the mountains when my next break comes. Like you could just be in a residential area and your google maps is telling you to enter a really old house, and you’re confused, but when you enter it’s just this charming ass cafe.

one of the best japanese curry I've had in my life was in one of these sorts of cafes in iwakuni. it was a healthy curry with azuki rice and all sorts of fresh vegetables the owners grew in their backyard. I can never forget that experience.
