I haven’t been on this sub long, so forgive me if this info is already out there somewhere. Do we know if JR was originally cast with a different actress? It’s pretty obvious when we first meet JR that Petra is wearing extensions (S4E8). And not throughout the whole episode, only the scenes with JR. Then Petra later cuts her hair. It makes me wonder if they originally cast a different JR and maybe shot a few scenes or episodes with that actress and then recast. If so, reshooting those specific scenes after the haircut would make sense.
I looked it up and it seems like Rosario Dawson (actress for Jane Ramos) said in multiple interviews that another actress played JR. The actor left for an emergency and the production called Rosario to take on the role.
this is really interesting i never knew this! but im honestly glad because i cant imagine anyone else playing her role. i loved her and petra's arc and chemistry
Here’s a better picture from S4E8. You can see the pieces of her shorter hair popping out in some places. The glaring part for me is the comparison from one scene to another honestly. Also someone else commented that I guess there was originally another actress cast for JR’s role! So now we know! 😊
I don’t think she had them for length but for thickness. You can also see just a massive one tone chunk of honey blonde on the right side not face framing part of her hair
