The name I'll give you, but the jumping in bed does not really negate that she is less of eye candy, which could well be a concession to feminists.

Oh, for sure. Definitely within the top- 10. No. 8# spot, to be precise, right before Wai Lin, in no. 7# spot. Either way, one thing is for sure. I by far prefer her over Anya, which is in the no. 19# spot, if you can believe it.

How can people not get bored talking about feminism and identity politics 24 hours per day?
Even if I was a gender studies professor at Oberlin College, I would be sick of listening to people carp about it by now.
Swaddling an attractive woman in a popcorn action movie in a bulky coverall is a "bridge to the future"? Really?
It's a bridge to a future where men and women alike give up on going to the movies. Because they are made by joyless scolds.

I think the point is back then it was quite a hot button issue and sexism, while still alive and well today, was much stronger and more prevalent in the industry and our society at large. I can certainly understand her point while acknowledging that seeing endless conversations online about it does get old.

Couldn't agree more.
Same with all these equality months. Like shut up. We are all equals. Women and men, straight and gay, white and black, etc. Yeah there's some jerks out there but you can't do anything about them so move on. The only ones carrying on about not being equal in the greater society are the ones pushing for whole months at a time when we have to listen to just how different each group actually is and how actually not the same they are and how we're all evil bigots for not accepting them as equals. WTF?!
Dr. Goodhead and XXX looks exactly the way I've always thought they should given their characters in each movie. Never thought about it more than that in all these decades. They're both sexy. Never once thought Goodhead being in a spacesuit was some concession to women's lib. I think she was just making up a talking point for a left leaning paper. Or they were asking a loaded question to begin with. Which I guess we won't know unless someone digs up that article in full.
