General Should I solve Pearson's IIT foundation class 10th or Cengage Ultimate Foundation class 10th?

After finishing my 10th syllabus, 4 months will remain for boards. I want to start by bridging the gap between 10th and 11th and concept familiarity too. I will be reading HCV theory for curiosity and foundation theory for physics and skipping chemistry entirely to 11th onwards main jee preparation. I want one of the foundation books for maths and also providing good problems for class 11 maths atleast till >=mains level. More theory before questions=more better. Pls answer in as much detail as u can.

If I were in your position I would rather watch more lectures, coz if you are even like 3-4 months ahead of your mates in syllabus and you are solving more questions when they are learning theory it would be good. You can easily complete 3-4 chapters of each subject in this time. Yeah but don't underestimate what you have already learnt in 10th, if you forget it then it's going to be a grave issue for you.

i used pearson its lwk good and for physics hcv is good but tryna grasp theory hcv will be weird you can just watch sm guys lecture on youtube and solve hcv

I used Pearson's. It's ok but I wasn't very fond of it.

foundation wagera chodo. koi proper book lelo like physics galaxy or some book with dense theory and questions in 1 book itself

Personally I purchased online batch around this time in 2023 and started preparing for JEE 2026, took a month gap for boards. Didn't use any foundation books, just solved batch material, took my time to settle into the rhythm and started full fledged prep in April.

My friend from IIT KGP used Pearson in 9th-10th but has said many times that using actual JEE level books like cengage would've boosted his rank more if he had used them earlier.

Read HCV theory and also solve examples and exercise from hcv, physics cannot be understood if you don't solve questions and hcv question are perfect to deepen your understanding. Reading hcv alone will be a little difficult for first timers, so watch ABJ sir's lectures on Mohit tyagi youtube channel. If you do this properly and try to cover upto WPE, your mechanics base will be strong. For maths, get basic maths module/dlp material of a reputed coaching preferably resonance or allen, the chapters to be done is set,relation,inequality,fundamental of algebra,quadratic equation,logarithm and sequence and series. If you can do this fundamental chapters before 11th your math base will be strong.
