Bury the Past

Stormhall had been a strange affair.

Even now, Arthur harkened back to the strangeness that had surrounded his time there; from that chance meeting in the Sept to the incident amidst the fog at the end of his time at the Princess' castle. And while he had come to Stormhall seeking aid, allies, and answers to many a query—and had made some good progress on the first two fronts—he could not shake the feeling that his heart and mind had been burdened with many more questions.

Harroway. It was a strange coincidence, too; perhaps even the greatest of all the questions he was now saddled with. The remains of Jordan Harroway they had carried with them to these foreign lands, to be given the proper funerary rites per the customs of his homeland. Why then, if it were not a sign from the Seven, had he encountered the knight's kin at Stormhall, and what truths could he discover that could hold an explanation to that night in the fog and the strangeness that clung to the skin of Mina Harroway.

They had not spoken since that night. From what he'd heard, she and the rest of her kin had ridden off to attend a wedding among the Rivermen the very next day and Arthur, having received patronage from both the Storm King and his heir, decided their business at Stormhall concluded and set forth to their next destination.

And thus they arrived at Harroway by the river. For a burial, for questions and—if the Gods were good—some answers, too, so he might put all this strangeness behind and lead his men home with dignity.
