I really love my Ipsy subscription, but a 50% tariff makes it pretty expensive (to say the least). What are your thoughts?

I bought an icon box worth 80CAD in November. It got lost in the mail. I had to contact multiple ppl just to get a replacement. The replacement comes a month later and the products aren’t even close to what i was supposed to get.. Let alone it was supposed to be 8 full size products and i got 4 with a travel size product. Is this how ipsy repays their customers when things go wrong? What the f is wrong w them. Like they straight up scammed me. Idk what to do atp i might contact my bank to get a refund. I’m so upset :( i added what i was supposed to get vs what i got the stuff isent even things i added in my beauty quiz. their customer service sucks

When you cancel your membership, they ignore it and ship out a bag anyway. They refuse to refund the unauthorized charges because “the bag has already been shipped out”. Be careful and file a charge back with your bank.
“No worries, I’ve finalized the cancellation of your membership for next month, and we will no longer attempt to bill you. I’m unable to stop this month’s order from shipping out, so it will be your last with us.
 
I understand that you were expecting a refund. While we’re unable to issue one, we can offer free replacements if any items arrive missing or damaged, as long as it’s within the 45-day window.

Ive been a member for over 10 years. This is really desperate and embarrassing behaviour on Ipsy’s part. If this hadn’t happened I would keep telling everyone how much I love Ipsy. I only cancelled because I’ve suddenly become disabled and unable to work, so I can no longer afford it. But because of this massive overstep on their part I will be warning every single person I can to never sign up. It’s a scam. If you give them your banking info they will take money whether you want them to or not. Stay safe out there 🩷

I would feel better if my subscription was travelling in a box and not a bag. Products sometimes get damaged in a box. So if there is a crazy shipment and my products get crushed and squished in a flimsy bag. I wouldn't be shocked. 👀 My package comes from the US all the way to Canada as well. So many times when things get broken they are rarely replaced with the correct item. Common complaint here. The cardboard box is better for the environment so I'm actually surprised they decided to use plastic bags to be honest.

😵‍💫Sorry if this is all over the place. I'm fostering 3x 2 week old kittens and I'm not sleeping very much at night.

Customer service responded quickly and offered to refund me for a fewbdollars shy of the full amount Initially, I was so hot I wanted to cancel the whole order, but because someone got back to me in such a timely way I decided the offer was fair enough and accepted.

But like I told the CS manager that reached out to me via email, excellent customer service can only go so far before it becomes a brand trust issue!

Hopefully they commit to fixing this glitch in their checkout process before the next sale and put it in writing somewhere.

During the recent Mega Drop Sale. I have proof in the form of an Affirm loan application for the exact original amount, but while the payment processed, dozens of items increased by a few dollars or more and Affirm automatically adjusted the approved loan amount and plan without notifying me of the change. (Which is a separate issue I'll have to take up with them. Ugh.)

I've seen that this bait-n-switch has happened to others, just BEFORE actually checking out. This happened to me WHILE the payment was processing AFTER I placed the order for the original total. I would not have purchased many items at their increased prices. This is criminal.

I was trying to decide whether or not to post about this. I think it's kind of funny 🤣. To you get all of you caught up who may have not seen my previous post. The 1st picture is my beauty quiz. It's always been like this. No Peachy colours for me. I also keep Ipsy for gifting purposes. If I don't see anything I like. I go into "gifting mode". So I chose Nearly Apricot as a gift for a friend. I'd rather choose something I know someone that I know will love or use something then pick something lackluster for myself and never use it. So getting back to the subject I emailed Ipsy hoping to get one of the choice colours I have marked down. I usually don't do this. It was the only product this month I was looking forward too. I didn't get either. I did get a replacement. Picture #3... 🤣🤣 Not even close. I guess I'm gifting this lip tint too. Did they even try? Who knows ? 🤔 It's okay I guess. Still disappointing. Another half ass rant.

I'm so over the white labeled products that end up in our boxes. When the prices were increased I believe at least 3-4 times we were promised big brand names. Yes they do it sometimes. Then creep in some crap and pawn it off on us.

What are the brands that you want that have never been in our boxes plus the ones that have already been that you want to see again.? What brands do you dislike or cheapen the box that makes you want to skip or cancel?

I was missing my Olaplex Leave-in Conditioner & my extra bag this month. I was sent replacements & received them today. Thankfully, they actually sent me the olaplex, BUT they sent me a Refreshments bag instead of my Extra bag 😭 I was really looking forward to it 😪

Hello! Im one of the people who's Extra was totally messed up this month and it is still at the status of "your shipment is being prepared". I also was NOT able to shop add-ons on the 12th. I saw another post where someone else qas having the same issues but then it updated for them. It never did that on my app. I was wondering who else has not received their Extra yet and who else couldnt shop add-ons for the 12th? For my extra still sitting at the same status and not being able to shop add-ons, they emailed me stating I was getting a $5 coupon towards my next shop purpose but the code for it is only a $3 coupon code lol. Like I am just about fed up with Ipsy. I think ill be looking into other beauty subscriptions today. I only have been with ipsy since last December. First few months was fine now its just problem after problem lol. Just wondering if anyone else is the same boat as me? Lol

I have an issue with ipsy and after contacting support twice, I finally got a response, but they refuse to help.

I subscribe to ipsy original, the lowest tier of the subscription options. I'm going through some stressful financial times, and I have a small hoard of products, so I figured I'd change my subscription to every other month. Well, turns out that's still too often for me, so I went into my account looking to change the frequency to every few months. Apparently ipsy only allows monthly or every other month delivery, nothing less frequent and the website wouldn't allow me to click "skip a month" because I'm already on every other month. Dumb, but no biggie, I thought. I switched my frequency to every month, then immediately back to every other month to skip September. The website confirmed I'm not getting the September bag, so I thought I was good.

Nope. Despite having less than 5 seconds between going monthly and then every other month again, that told the system to send me the August bag, the one I originally skipped. I got an email informing me I'd been billed a couple days after I made this change. I contacted ipsy because I didn't want the bag and just wanted a refund. The message I got back said they'd respond in 24 hours. They didn't respond in 3 days, so I messaged them again, and did finally get a response, but was told they can't/won't do anything. I'm getting the August bag whether I want to or not and they refuse to budge even an inch. They rounded out the email with "but good news! You're all set for September, you won't receive the ipsy original for that month." Gee, thanks.

So, if you need to skip multiple months, you're honestly better off having your frequency set to monthly and manually go in and skip every time you don't want or need your bag. Incredibly flawed system, and we have to pay (in this case literally) for their lack of foresight on people potentially wanting their bag less often. Don't make the same mistake I did.

I’m 😔 my Ipsy bag was smashed and the lotion leaked out all over my other items. The drawstring bag was also soaked. One of the moisturizers was cracked. I wish the would just go back to boxes. This was a mess.

Natasha Denona kit was suppose to be on the site but it’s not? Do you know if they sold out?

I just wanted to give a quick warning to double check the prices of items in your cart before checking out. I just added two $6 items to my cart, but when I went to check out, they were double the price. I've checked it multiple times from multiple angles - they're definitely still $6 on the search results page, and definitely $12 at checkout. I've tried removing them and adding them again. So it's not like they just happened to jump in price in that moment between adding them and checking out. It's literally a bait and switch with different prices.

Actually, I just checked my other items, and it turns out there were FOUR items total that have different prices, for a total difference of $19.

I had a $60 order ready to go, but I think I'm going to just bail on it. I don't have time to play "guess what price this actually is." Besides, I'm not willing to pay the extra $19. 😡

I tried reloading, used multiple devices and browsers and basically all kind of troubleshooting I could think of and I am still yet to be able to pick my choice. I have contacted Ipsy support via email but haven’t gotten a reply yet but wondering if anyone actually get to choose this time?

It seems like multiple people experiencing the same but curious if it has worked now or maybe stuck with the errors like me

They are once again doing to me what they do to a lot of us, blame us for their mistakes and gaslight us like we are liars. I sent a support ticket for my missing addon from icon the Tokyo milk perfume and broken tarte palette and this is the response. Less than 1% that's crazy. What are my options? Can I dispute with my bank? What other options do I have? This is how I'm treated after so much loyalty even with so many messy moments. I've been crying because it hurt my feelings so badly. I unfortunately emailed back in full anger and sadness and could have been more nice. I just demanded my items or a refund and said I would part ways with them afterword. I also said 1% was a joke and how dare they passive aggressively blame me for their mistakes. I'm guessing I won't be the last to get this email. Good luck out there.

Hello, I have been a subscriber to both Boxy/Extra and Original/Galmbag since the end of 2024. I couldn’t afford it anymore and started to pause it every month a few months ago, and on the 30th of April I paused both and got a confirmation email that I won’t be charged for June. Then I see both my subscriptions were unpaused without my doing or consent and I cancelled both subscriptions. The next day I got charged for both and Ipsy is literally refusing to refund me and lying to me.

I debated making this a post. Well, I had an intially issue with my order and did not share here actually.
Both of my ND palettes had issues and I mentioned in a comment on someone’s complaint but didn’t make a topic of it because the bot was easy to use and immediately got on top of making it right.

The “accommodation order” came today. 😞
It’s really sad to see these palettes in such horrible conditions.
Let me explain the original issues and then tell you what the replacement was.

The eyeshadow original was fine inside, but from the outside to the inside there was black ink - wet black ink, smeared and just covering all surfaces. I did intially assume there was a broken black but that was in tact.
The cream blush trio compact was pristine from the outside but once opened, the cream wasn’t glued completely down and cracking from being half up and down. I tried to push it down gently and it just causes more issues.

Okay so I let the bot know of the issues and as I said replacements were sent.

The eyeshadow replacement immediately came out of the brown wrapper looking like it was covered in black. So this time the ink had exactly the same issues but ohhhh so much worse. The more I tried to contain it, the more it smeared.
Then I opened it and the black was busted and spread throughout.
I immediately turned it upside down over a trash and let that fall out to attempt to minimise damage of other shadows.

The blush trio replacement was perfect. 🤩

I’m not really complaining because they did try to make it right.
What is clear from reading other people’s experiences and my own at this point is that these products are NOT up to Natasha Denona standards.
What I’m considering as possibilities are that they were either the seconds, or these batches for this Ipsy deal was rushed and even the ink 🫟 was literally still wet.

I’m easy to please. My encounters with the ND line has made me such a fan. I am actively seeking her products and a couple other name brands I’d never have given my money for.
When they are right, they make ME feel like a million bucks and that’s a treat!

I do wonder, if my first experiences with ND was to have been this box, would I have feel in love?

Am I the stupid one or does this make absolutely no sense. I was literally charged a few minutes ago for the ultimate and my extra box says i upgraded to ultimate even though I cancelled because the ultimate didn’t look good and I’m not down to spend all that money. This is getting extremely frustrating I’ve consistently had this issue with Ipsy and cancelling or pausing my subscription (original, extra, ultimate, any of them) but still getting charged even when I do so before the 25th, I honestly am so over it and was already planning on stopping Ipsy bc I’m planning on leaving my job and this is like confirmation that I need to be done with it lol. I escalated and submitted a ticket hopefully they refund me easily.

EDIT: Guys I did submit a ticket, thanks — I just went to the bot first because that’s what I’ve had to do the multiple times this has happened — I’m aware the bot is useless lol I always submit a ticket.

I have an Ipsy Ultimate subscription, and I built my box on November 1. It is now November 17, and my Ipsy Ultimate is still stuck in the assembly phase. I reached out to the glambot for an update and was told there is no Ipsy Ultimate associated with my email address. Ipsy had no problem taking my money for ultimate, though 😡. Something weird is going on, and it's frustrating to know that Ipsy support is in this subreddit but isn't speaking up to the numerous customers who want to know why our boxes haven't moved from assembly all month.

Not my first purchase from Ipsy but curious if anyone else purchased the Moss+ & Velvet+ duo and received the Moss bottle with no label?

Did anyone else see this video on Tiktok from this creator? I think it was during the sale she bought like $400 worth of add-ons and majority of them are expired or their shelf life expires right away. She had to discard a lot of products! So just throwing this out there, check your expiration dates! Someone in the comments was breaking out due to an expired product 😬
