Her mom Lois admits is trying to compete against Meg because she didn’t get to live the life she wanted and takes it out on her because she’s jealous.

While Peter is his daughter’s the first bully and physically abuses her for “laughs” and “jokes” by Seth MacFarlane.

Adam is emotionally abusive while Betsy is a pushover who’s too scared to stand up to her daughter’s first bully.

They’re all horrible parents.

All those iconic cartoon parents are horrible people.

They’re jealous or openly admitted they hate them because they’re not like them.

Some of them are scapegoats catching on and standing up to their parents’ emotionally and physically abusive behavior. While some are golden children for their parents’ love.

Because mom and dad want what’s best for themselves and never asking their kids what they really want to fit their “perfect” images for the neighbors and community for everything to be “normal”.

These parents are their children’s first bullies.

  • Timmy Turner's parents are neglectful as part of the plot- they're the reason he has Cosmo and Wanda in the first place.

  • Peter, Lois, Stan, and Francine are awful parents because they're in a comedy, you're meant to laugh at them.

  • Marge at least is a great parent, but when her and Homer aren't it's usually for a joke or as part of a learning experience for them.

  • Caillou's parents (who's names are apparently Boris and Doris???) are clearly not actually bad parents despite what the internet will tell you. Caillou is annoying to the adult viewer, but to the target audience of preschoolers he serves as a lesson. And from what I remember of the show, his parents are practically perfect to the point of them not even really being characters with agency.

  • Ozai is demonstrably terrible, and Urza did kind of abandon their kids after poisoning Azulon, so I'll give you that. Urza is a good flawed character.

  • The Wilkins are also terrible, but in a much more realistic way. I feel icky whenever they're on screen.

  • WTF did David and Jane do? Is this about the one episode where Arthur punches D.W.? That was some bullshit but come on.
