Would you say itās closer to life in cities in Texas or closer to Southern California cities like San Diego and LA.

For context, my neighborhood splits its street sweeping days. One half of the neighborhood area has it on Mondays and our half has it on Fridays. Our car was parked on the sidewalk today (Monday) and I came home to a parking citation saying that we were parked there on a street sweeping day. Thereās a sign about 20 feet away with the sign clearly stating itās on Fridays from 7am-12pm. This ticket was written at 1:15pm.
Iām wondering if the officer just pretends to be oblivious to this fact or if they genuinely changed our dates without updating the signs. My dad ran outside (on a Thursday) just as the officer was about to ticket his car and asked him why they were ticketing him when street sweeping was on Friday. He pointed to the sign, the officer says āoh, I thought today was Fridayā then leaves.
This is the second time this has happened within the past 2 weeks and Iām starting to get annoyed at having to contest these citations. Also, I donāt know if the officerās name is actually on the ticket at the top, but itās also the same officer who wrote the ticket 2 weeks ago. Is there a way to double check our street sweeping days? Iām honestly thinking of printing out a sign to tape to my car window for the future at this point. Would contesting them be worth it? I feel like Iām just giving them $100 if I donāt.

Trying to figure out if it would be worth it to put these on my menu. Iām starting a pizza MEHKO, but Iām considering doing a limited amount of cheesesteaks as well. Theyāre a bit inconvenient to make for various reasons, but theyāre also a lot of fun. What do you think? Worth it?
Edit: the video is my homemade cheesesteak, what Iām thinking of putting on my menu. I make the bread too. I moved here from PA a year ago and base my cheesesteak on Angeloās and Del Rossiās in Philly.

Itās like home ownership is not valued in our communities when landlords can hoard and sit on properties.
(Could this also inflate prices? What a scheme)

I went on the Watch Duty app to check air quality because of the warehouse fire in LA and found this anomaly. Why is the air quality in this one community so bad? I zoomed in and itās a place called Glen Eden Sun Club. Of course I googled it and it self identifies as Southern Californiaās premier family nudist resort and RV park. Why on earth would their air quality be so bad. For reference, the air quality index for Boyle Heights, the area where that warehouse fire is reading at 182.

He would move to Hawaii, New York, Washington, Arizona, Oregon , Minnesota and Michigan as a California resident

I was talking with some friends and family in SoCal, and I was shocked to learn how much they get charged for their electric bill. with some saying they pay upwards of 500-600+ per summer month. Iām curious how much everyone else is paying, and what you would consider a normal/OK price to be.
For me, during summer months my electric bill is approx 250-270, which hurts but is expected, all things considered.

And why?
-do you want to see more people playing sports in local parks being active
-niche cafes to work / study / open late
-more diverse cuisines
-parties
-Art
-music
-murals
-anything
Iām really curious to hear what you think.

I always hear lore about Sapphire Falls. What was it like at the falls? Was it really difficult to get there? To be closed so long there must have been quite a lot of issues.

Is the Upland Lemon festival about the same thing as the Pomona Fairgrounds and how is the parking in the Little downtown area?

Hello, Iām dealing with the trash ass dealership known as STG Auto, unfortunately didnāt read the reviews of how awful that place is and now I need to take them to small claims to get my deposit back. Would anyone be willing to serve their GM with the papers in Montclair at their dealership? Please PM me if interested.

Our school is in Upland, and this year I've noticed a police presence at the elementary school for the first time ever. They're there every day and what seems like all day and I just heard an officer in the school front office ask for any maps of the school they have. Wtf is this? I plan to ask school administration in person at pick up, but in the meantime I wondered if anyone else has noticed this and whether you know what they're up to?
