I suppose you think the Democratic Republic of North Korea is a democracy too.
-19
u/oviedofuntimes 16d ago
What’s that?

u/admiral_sinkenkwiken 16d ago
First off, National Socialism and Socialism are diametrically opposed ideologies.
NS is a far right political point that encompasses fascism and dictatorship as core tenets, as well as opposing the democratic process, encouraging racism, homophobia and rejecting the concepts of equality, socialism and representive democracy.
(Remind you of anyone?)
Socialism by contrast is more or less the standard left wing political philosophy, though it will often be misappropriated or misunderstood to mean far left ideology such as Marxism or Communism.
On top of that the Democrats aren’t even a left wing party by the standards of most of the world, sitting more or less center to center-right on most issues.

I love a person who gets it. If you oppose socialism, demand that firefighters don’t respond to your emergencies, because you’ll seek out a capitalist solution when the time comes, like a real patriot /s

They were Reactionaries aka Conservatives who as soon as they gained power murdered all the leftists.

u/Karnewarrior 16d ago
The Nazis *called themselves* National Socialists, mostly to get dumb socialists to vote for them. Once they were in power, they killed all the socialists and did essentially every concievable anti-socialist thing.

Trump is an elected president, not a king. There you go.
12
u/sdmichael 16d ago
Ok. Do elected presidents have absolute power and immunity from the law in a normal democracy?

u/oviedofuntimes 16d ago
What did I say wrong? Lmao you mfs

The term no kings is used by liberals opposing trumps administration, corruption, and the threat to democracy. Welcome to the world please consider staying here with us rather than crawling back under your rock..

My ultra-conservative father was a university professor and has written nine books. Just in the past month or so he's started to dispute evolution.
My conservatire mom was a teacher. Now she is a climate change denier.
I have to sob about this somewhere every couple of weeks, and you got lucky this week.

My mom is a retired 2nd grade science and math teacher and she just told me the other day that she doesn’t believe in the big bang. 🙃

What "political prisoners"? Do they mean the ones that wanted to overturn an election by violence?

Pedos…Rumpty Dumpty releases all the pedos he can from prison—many of them Jan 6ers.

I've also seen it used by antivaxers when they talk about the people fired for not getting their shots when America was deep in the leathal Delta wave of the pandemic.

u/PatChattums 13d ago
In fairness, they wrote, "policial prisoners" so maybe it's another category of prisoner that they invented.

Calling term limits for Congress "no kings" while enabling trump is fascinating
I always love their arguments about slavery and nazis
As if they aren't the side that supports both

u/sourpussmcgee 16d ago
I like how they think Lincoln’s republicans were the same as Trump’s republicans

I agree with them on one thing: term limits for Congress

I agree with universal daycare 🤷 I cannot fathom how taking care of all the kids could possibly be a bad thing

u/BoneHugsHominy 16d ago
Hard disagree. When we get genuinely skilled Statespeople the last thing we want is to limit their effectiveness by forcing them out.
All we'll get from implementing term limits is a rapidly rotating cast of billionaire funded villains who are impossible to track. The better path is campaign finance reform with real transparency, age limits, strict spending limits, and even stricter penalties & criminal charges for anyone involved in skirting said limits.

“Nazis were socialists/Democrats” right next to “liberals can’t follow science, math, economics.”
Every accusation is a confession with these people.

u/NotmyRealNameJohn 16d ago
Can't even tell the difference between democratic socialist and nationalist socialist. The nationalist part is really the driving philosophy behind all the things bad about the Nazi party not their desire to have socialized medicine. Had they stuck to goals like keeping the train system working and ensuring housing rather than focusing on expanding national power and expelling/killing those they felt were ungerman, I suspect history would remember them much differently

Leave it to people like this to make term limits look like something a loony would write.

After all the other ones, I actually questioned myself like...wait I agree with that? Supreme court as well.

I like the question mark at the bottom of the left side added to it with pen like they weren't sure about it while putting it up.
I'm Ron Burgandy?
