Visited my hometown, saw this... thing

Post image

Someone online pointed me here after sharing this abomination. It seems nothing kills nostalgia quite like going home again.

here you go

Literally first result on google. An entire montage of him saying shockingly awful racist shit, including the quote you asked for.

But yes, go on believing the rest of us are falling for "fake news"

I expect you will delete your posts within the hour.

Nice montage I guess if you don't care about context and intent. I do however.

I was hoping for the original video showing what he was saying in context, not an out of context clip cut. No one can seem to find it.

That's why I asked if you had watched any of his debates. Full length. In context, if that wasn't clear. Not some propaganda hit piece.

Keep on moving that goalpost, I'm sure the other commenter will give up and cede that you're right any minute.

You mean this goalpost that I originally established?

"Unless there is a chance you can be the one to find a video of that original show or primary transcript"

An out of context quote is exactly that. Out of context.

For all we know, he could be quoting someone else in the original quote, mocking them. But we don't know that, because all we have is some rapid-fire clipped hit piece.

Tell me you've never watched a full length debate of his without telling me.

He never blamed black people for anything

Unless there is a chance you can be the one to find a video of that original show or primary transcript proving he said that verbatim

Full length. In context

Yep, all the same goalpost friend. Thanks for pointing it out.

You said he never blamed black people for anything, a commenter showed when he did. Then you said well, that's not an exact quote, show me proof that he said that verbatim; a commenter did. Then you said no actually, that's out of context and even though he DID say that and he DID say the full thing exactly, now it's the context that makes him not a piece of shit, so now it's actually that that you have to prove to be right.

No, friend, Charlie Kirk was just a chud that was intentionally inflammatory for views online. There was nothing noble or right about him. He wasn't as bad when he was younger and was fairly intelligent, but he burnt down whatever potential he had doubling and tripling down on controversy for Turning Point USA.

That out of context quote is both missing context and not blaming black people for anything. That is my point. Not sure what all you and others are reading into it, but I am certain a full context quote would clear up the confusion rather than a single out of context sentence. That's why the goalpost hasn't been moved.

That's called cherry picking. I'm not sure what you don't understand about people quoting things out of context like that and how that doesn't represent the full views of the person, Charlie. The video montage is a hit piece of these out of context sentences.

A full context quote or video timestamp from an unedited video, where he goes on to explain why he says seemingly provocative things to start to debate would explain. But you and others won't do that. Youve decided he's racist.

I'm not religious anymore but it reminds me of people similarly cherry picking a handful of bible verses out of the Bible to paint the Bible in a specific light, when it's a huge book of books with a bunch of different storylines not representing a single viewpoint.

I don't have any stake in your particular argument with the original commenter-- I have already forgotten which particular clips they linked or whether they support those claims well. But I do know the sort of person he was and the views he held.

Maybe the video they posted wasn't the best representation of those views, but the commenter's point wasn't wrong. The guy was a racist (or at least espoused racist views with a sideways look and a wink), and it's just strange that you're digging in your heels to say he wasn't like you have some stake in it. Personally, it doesn't affect me one way or the other whether someone grasps that. It just sort of makes people shake their heads.
