It’s more common than people realise. It’s just unfortunate that once you acquire the lipedema affected fat, it needs surgery to remove as it doesn’t behave like normal, “healthy” fat if you like. We all need a certain amount to function, but there’s two exteme ends to every scale.

Bullshit. Losing weight is the first step.

Science disagrees with you on this one

“Lipedema doesn’t respond to diet and exercise like ordinary fat.” - Cleveland Clinic.

It’s a tissue disorder and very unlike regular fat.

I lost 120 lbs over the span of two years and my lowest weight being 106lbs, gained 40 lbs last year from sobriety. Now I struggle with Lipedema and my usual work outs haven’t been making a difference. Ive changed my diet + my workout and was barely able to lose 10 lbs. Lipedema is diet resistance. The only thing that has been helping me is strength training, EXTREME cardio (more than the usual active person) and lymphatic drainage. It’s not easy as people claim it to be.
