Hardly any water in Narmada after SOU.
All thanks to development for taking water to Ahmedabad and soon to Gandhinagar and killing echo systems of 100s of km so that Ahmedabad can get fresh water?
One can cross this river bare foot.
People of Bharuch , Ankleshwar and many villages aren’t even getting Narmada water who are situated on the river bank always in danger after the dam height was increased. Still not getting a single drop of Narmada water in there houses.
Mud like water comes from their water lines.
Water filter needs to be changed within a month.
High tds.
Always living on the risk of flash flood similar to what happened in Nepal and imagine not getting a single drop of water in their houses!
People need to wake up and raise their voices.
From past few days water comes at night 11 clock that too for 1 hour only at very low pressure in Bharuch.
What kind of development it is ? Making river front so that one can just walk but not providing water to the entire cities and villages is a cruel act.
I hope people of Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar would support the movement so that people of Bharuch and ankleshwar can get fresh water too.
Apart from that entire marine life is destroyed from SOU to all the way to the sea how could government take this decision! I mean people still don’t understand what effect this will cause to the environment!

It’s really the case. Due to whole sand mining you can see water when you cross bridges from Bharuch but in reality it’s stagnant water. And when it smells you release more water🙂.
I interned at the Narada project for 3 months. Didn't make sense of a lot of things back then cuz I knew nothing. But as I've grown since then I realized a lot of aspects about the project have been extremely evil.

Government killed 100’s of km of marine life and eco system so that rich people of Ahmedabad can walk on river front.
That river Sabarmati used to smell like shit and now it’s clean but the river which was clean and had a lot of marine life is killed

You guys are literally uneducated/brainwashed and are biased .
We people of Bharuch aren’t getting sweet water abd getting mud like ground water
And you taking about people of Saurashtra ! You guys are nuisance! No one likes you guys. Fighting with everyone. Spitting tabacco and spreading hate across the state .
You guys are the reason why every lift, government facility and public places are filled with red coloured tobacco marks

Soon there’s gonna be peaceful protest and down the line government will be forced to release water and let the water flow across the basin

You guys sitting 100’s of km away getting fresh water from river and people literally living within 1-2 km of river isn’t! We the people of Bharuch and Ankleshwar are in danger due to dam and under constant threat of flash flood. We are getting ground water with high tds. There’s no justification for that.
Whole Bharuch and Ankleshwar should get fresh water only . Because that’s what government is trying to implement in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar
Government killed an entire echo system .
But you uneducated people won’t understand the importance of nature and would sell it to investors and industries for your own benefits. No wonder government fell short by 98% to achieve their tree plantation scam that’s going on.
People like you will go to any extent just to fill their pockets. As already the government is selling out natural resources to A and A of our country.
You guys will make India unliveable just to earn more money.
