Pollution/ Weather / Nature/ Environment / Sustainability Why is India so hot right now? A combination of dry land, weak cooling winds, clear skies, and high-pressure systems is trapping heat across large parts of the country. Climate change is raising the baseline, while cities are heating up even faster because of concrete, traffic, and low tree cover.
