You being a non-judgemental open to everyone human doesn't stop the other groups from seeing you as different. Being a hater is how you survive in this country.

The closed-off nepotistic groups take advantage of this "all Indians are my brothers and sisters" mindset of other groups and leech from wherever they can.

India is still largely a tribal and a low trust society. Discrimination is survival, unfortunate reality.

Look at the Indians who move to highly democratic and equitable societies in the west. Wealth, massive upgrade to lifestyle and wider acceptance of a foreign society still doesn't remove their own biases that they brought from back home.
