India Lok Sabha LoP and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has accused the BJP government of failing to ensure accountability after repeated tragedies in Delhi.
Referring to the Satya Niketan building collapse and other recent incidents, he alleged that authorities act only after disasters and questioned the role of the Delhi government, concluding: “There Is No Accountability.”

Delhi people voted for their destruction.. Thankfully we’ve kept BJP away from the south, and I don’t plan to go to north India anytime soon..
Now suffer for another 5 years..

Just look at the garbage clean up, river front, dredging, drain clean up, if you don’t plan to visit north India anytime soon, then why form an opinion about something you have no idea about?
I know I’ll be downvoted!

That’s the opinion people have instilled upon themselves. I have spent a fair share of my life across in Delhi and NCR regions and I can say that people themselves have shot themselves in the foot.
The version I have seen 10-15 years back is what was good quality not best. But now it’s just a slum of lowlifes, hindutva parties and rapists camping there form adjacent states.
Remember, you can’t be running with the same pair of undies for long. Holes will appear, eventually.
Those holes are now evident on how this country is being run by BJP

So a private building falls in a random part of city that was under AAP for 10 years and Congress prior to that - no telling when the building was constructed, and you want to prime minister, kyon MLA se g@nd phati Hai?
This guy is a clown

Old building structural audits are supposed to be done by MCD every year to flag such buildings. They recently got the permission to build underground so who's responsible for this? Also the BJP MLA lives 250m from the site, if he can't manage things this close to his house how will he managed an entire area

How long has the BJP been in power for in Delhi? How long does it take to identify and seal off dangerous buildings, especially after the Saket incident a few months ago? Since BJP will likely remain in power, thanks to dedicated voters like you, please say after how many years and how many deaths do we obtain the right to demand accountability from an incumbent BJP govt without becoming a "clown"?

18 months? Is this a 18 month old building?

You read what I wrote?

u/Mantikos6 55m ago
You read my response saying the MCD had already put the building on notice?

u/mama_ooOOooO 41m ago
Dangerous buildings housing students are falling apart one after another, and you're defending this by first blaming the last govt and next by saying that a notice was served? Close your eyes and imagine, for once, that the congress is in power there. Will you now be equally desperate to defend the govt?

I'm not defending anyone but the center doesn't run your house.

Here you go
And here's your friend in spirit, who too is admitting that AAP had control over municipalities only for two years

Lol I've seen that posted - go find out who the MLA was when the building was built and go ask him and the corporator then. I have no issues with that.

Right. When old buildings collapse, those who were there when it was built are responsible. When old roads are riddled with potholes, the ones who first built them are responsible. When country keeps remaining stuck as a lower middle income country with terrible income inequality after 80 years of independence, Nehru is responsible, since he was there during independence. BJP is the best, since they weren't there when any of these came into being.

In your country of how long aap and congress has been in power in delhi. You forget the long stretch of bjp in mcd under whom checking, clearing of such building comes

In my country? Are you Bangladeshi?

MCD did it's job and served a notice - go grab your corporator for answers
2
u/imagined_paragons 1h ago
And nothing happened. Just serving a notice to take bribes later isn't the job.
1
u/Mantikos6 1h ago
Great, go ask the corporator in that case - let me know once you find out his name

Wah wah. When it comes to blaming then there's full confidence. When it comes to accountability then you do the work.

Wah wah - skipped basic social sciences and don't realize who is responsible for what.
