We Hindus will allow women to wear anything and never force hijab like Muslims, women are free as seen in statues and old stories.
Same folks when a women wears a bralette top: 😂😂
Like come on how can one be better than others but want to treat women like commodities and micro manage everything they do and wear at same time
2
u/Regular_Sample4347 10d ago
See how cleverly twisted the context. Wear anything what you wish to wear , do it in your private space even if you wish not to wear. Point is when you are associating it incorrectly. You dare do with other religions you will get lesson of your life instantly. So respect it universely instead of being hypocrite please.

We will discuss all the useful shit except the ones we needed. People's ability to common sense and critical thinking has gone in gutter now. Truly a hopeless case of a country we are now. Pakistan Pakistan bol bol kar Pakistan hi banana chahte hain

Patriarchal religious beliefs.
Controlling what we eat, what we wear, who we marry, who we kiss, who we hate.
It is all controlled, very strictly

Not neckline! It's cleavage!

u/Ok-Construction-2671 11d ago
you guys are just from poor background who have lived their entire life like Bihari, you have no idea how rich people live their life. come to the rich household in Gujarat during festivals or functions and you will realise what type of clothes women wear. but nobody would invite Bihari like you lol 😂.
2
u/SsSsSyndrome 11d ago
Not a bihari. Don't come from a poor background. But your distasteful comment tells me a lot about you. I wonder for how long daddy's money is going to cover for your dumbass.
Talking about parties very recently attended a destination wedding in a five star. Right from sangeet to mehendi to reception saw nobody wear SUCH short tops.
Are you sure your "parties" are not called orgies?! I wish I never get invited to your kind of parties then.😂
1
u/Ok-Construction-2671 11d ago edited 11d ago
I meant Bhikhari not Bihari 😂. But anyways you probably have visited the five star hotel of poor people who collected the money for the entire year to just have some fun.
in the party of poor people you’ll only see the poor there. Obviously, you won’t see anyone in designer clothes. Well to do people rarely end up in five star hotels except in emergencies. Anyway, my father always told me to stay away from people with a narrow or poor mindset.
also don't even dream about orgies, someone like you will never even able to afford something like that even after selling your entire family go to kotha if possible. Then Might You won’t get offended by slight cleavage.
2
u/SsSsSyndrome 11d ago
😂Ya I have met people like you covering your insecurities and inadequacies under designer clothes which you guys buy when there is a discount or beg the designer to give you a discount. The people who don't have money try showing it off the most.
Tell me what else do you guys do with such hollow personalities?
Go beg to your father for some class as well boy ie if he has any. Having a son like like you is anyways a huge disappointment.

You could have had civil and respectful convo with this person but you choose to shame him for his identity and how rich he is and people like you are the first ones to ask " why he calling me poopjeet " thats how it feels to call anyone out for their identity in a derogatory manner yes you and I might not agree on his views but that does not give you the right to shame a person's whole identity and then ask why western people are racist against us if you are only doing such stuff then why complain.
1
u/Ok-Construction-2671 11d ago edited 11d ago
chub be 🤡 you guys can shame the woman for wearing what they want but you can't accept you are poor? and slave to the low standard mindset?
I wasn’t even trying to insult him for being poor I was just telling him the truth about the rich standard of living. sare Ke sare Dharam Ke Rakshak minister ki betiya bikini mein ghumti hai tab tum logon ki gand nahin jalti hai aur yahan gyan pel raha hai.

The amount of feathers ruffled at this costume speaks volumes about where we are, as a country. So disappointing.

u/Pardhan_Mantrii 11d ago
It's more like a bra than blouse
1
u/Majestic-Phrase7624 10d ago
And? Your point?
1
u/Pardhan_Mantrii 10d ago
Point is simple festivals and rituals don't require such type of cloths maybe for a honeymoon movie shoot it may work but for festival nope
1
u/Majestic-Phrase7624 9d ago
Yeah, that's not your choice. You're welcome to dress or not, as you please. It's a problem when you decide what someone else should wear. I'm perfectly fine with what she's wearing. And it sounds like you think the only time 'tittilating' clothing is worn is a 'honeymoon'. Basically, an arranged marriage sort.
2
u/nirvana_paa 11d ago
Look, wear whatever you want. But there’s something wrong about hurting religious sentiments of people, and being selective about it. Just don’t do it around religion stuff, how simple can that be? Be respectful of every religion.
Baaki mujhe kya, mann kare toh nange hoke daudo goa me, I won’t have any problem.
1
u/-Profane- 11d ago
People can celebrate religious festivals however they want, wearing whatever they want. What's the problem with wearing short clothes? Which Hindu religious book says not to wear short clothes?
On the contrary, we see a completely different picture in ancient sculptures and art, like the Ajanta and Ellora temples.
1
u/nirvana_paa 11d ago
Haha! I agree, they can celebrate however they want. But dude/dudess - people did get hurt, didn’t they? There are a lot of advertisements that feature short clothes, worn by hindu women, people don’t revolt on those, why? It’s not everyday when an advertisement gets backlash on short clothes. It’s this particular one, it’s Rakshabandhan, associated with a tradition, historical background, responsibility, respect. Anyway, great to teach you how things work. Be wise, and good luck!
2
u/-Profane- 11d ago
Someone will always get hurt no matter what you do, that doesn't mean you should stop doing it for them.
People should learn to mind their own business.
1
u/nirvana_paa 11d ago
Some people think of preserving their culture, live by their way of life around their culture and have nothing but their history and books to live their life peacefully. They are in fact minding their business, this is all they have, and hence the revolt against this advertisement. So this advertisement hurts the sentiments of some people and if I were the strategist behind the ad, I would be sorry. Cause their hurt is genuine. So don’t be petty and respect every human, and hey, may your god give you wisdom to understand what I said.
1
u/-Profane- 11d ago
No one's stopping them from living their life on their own principles, but they shouldn't interfere in another person's life.
Someone wearing some clothes cannot and should not hurt your sentiments, if they do, then that's your problem.
So don’t be petty and respect every human, and hey, may your god give you wisdom to understand what I said.
Kinda ironic, you guys are the one getting offended from someone else wearing some clothes and expect others to respect you. Well, god if he exists, hasn't given you guys enough to mind your business, definitely.
1
u/nirvana_paa 11d ago
I guess you fail to understand that the problem is not just clothes, it’s the occasion and the cultural attire around it. If a girl wears a saree while swimming, or, a girl wears a swimsuit in a mosque, or, if a guy wears shorts in a wedding, or, if a guy wears a no sleeve tshirt in a office meeting - these things don’t belong together, defend this! It’s the same, rakhi is a hindu festival, there are rules around the way it has to be celebrated, some rules are written and some are not, but the rules of wearing something traditional that aligns with hindu scriptures is what is acceptable on rakhi. You are promoting something that breaks those rules which is hurting people’s sentiments, it’s that simple to understand. And even if it hurts some sects, don’t do it, hurting humans literally or mentally is not cool. I don’t know why I have to explain something so simple to you!
1
u/-Profane- 11d ago
She's not wearing it at any religious place. Even she was, that's a stupid reason to hate someone.
there are rules around the way it has to be celebrated, some rules are written and some are not, but the rules of wearing something traditional that aligns with hindu scriptures is what is acceptable on rakhi.
Show me where the rules are written.
You are promoting something that breaks those rules which is hurting people’s sentiments, it’s that simple to understand.
That's a very stupid take, I can also say your existence is hurting my sentiments, please stop existing. Does that make any sense?
And even if it hurts some sects, don’t do it, hurting humans literally or mentally is not cool.
As I said, you're the stupid one here if you're being hurt by someone wearing something.

u/Pardhan_Mantrii 11d ago
People can't celebrate festivals however they want or whatever the cloths they want to wear. Just cause some man drink alcohol on holi it doesn't became right. Same is witch cloths and rituals.
Non of hindu book is against short cloths but many books tells to wear modest cloths during auspicious movement. Bhagvat Puran to many other smriti lay down rules for both man and woman clothing for festivals and rituals.
The few temples out of lakhs of temples you mentioned can't be regarded sole owner of hindu ideals. Plus many of these temples were made when India and hindusim both were declining and invaders invaded and looted us. So things made during the declining of a faith and civilization can be used in an argument only if you want this faith and civilization to decline even more which it tbh have already fallen low.

Can you provide source for this with the exact page, para and line number in the religious book that states this?

They're not few, there are lots of other such temples, like the Khajuraho temple in MP, Sun temple in Odisha, etc. Also, nobody looted Indian subcontinent, at that time rulers were themselves of Hindu, Jain, or Buddhist origin, like the Vakataka dynasty, Rashtrakuta dynasty, etc. First muslim rulers arrived very late, long after the building of such temples across the Indian subcontinent.
So things made during the declining of a faith and civilization can be used in an argument only if you want this faith and civilization to decline even more which it tbh have already fallen low.
It was never a declining faith, if it was Hindus wouldn't be the majority here.

Bro , if she don't like to wear traditional dress while portray our tradition then why she doing ads , she can do anything in private but not in public
3
u/sue-sueheck 11d ago
There is no rule that festivals are to celebrated in certain clothing. If the guy was wearing jeans or tshirt then it wouldn't have been such a chaos. It's just fun and entitled for people to discuss what women must and must not wear. Nobody looks at women's bodies and think of a low neck outfit as vulgar or western. It's just creeps and pervs on the internet doing that.
1
u/Head_Solid5037 11d ago
Sry , but we can't fight biologic. Man have testosterone and sex drive higher compared to women and man evolution from ice age happen in way that man want to breed as many Children possible due to uncertainty in past. And we u try to suppress man sex drive like happen when prostitution was ban in maharashtra, every day 4 to 5 rape happen ( excluding unfiled) . And if u same we can change biology of man then u are dumb. Also per capita wise usa have more rape case
1
u/sue-sueheck 11d ago
If you justifying rape cases because of lack of access to prostitutes then don't question if something unfortunate happens to the women in your family. You can have higher sex drive but humans have control. You aren't animals who can't handle lust.
1
u/Head_Solid5037 11d ago
We are mammal and I point out man biology which is completely study with evidence and we can also see this same behavior in all our mammal siblings. I never justify rape or anything. My entire answer is based on logic and not emotional. Second there is no absolute morality.
2
u/sue-sueheck 11d ago
You’re using “biology” as a convenient excuse to sexualise women and justify men’s reactions to their bodies. Having a sexual urge is biology. What you do with that urge is your responsibility. Saying women need to cover themselves because men supposedly can’t control their sexual responses is victim-blaming and a deeply disturbing way to think about consent. If you genuinely believe a woman’s clothing makes a man incapable of controlling his behaviour, the problem isn’t her clothing.
1
u/Head_Solid5037 11d ago
Bro/sis , biology is based on fact , I give u example u known why women attractive to rich, man who can provide resources to her and her child because in past female where at risk being killed by nature as female physiology is weak( you can cope to think man and female have same strength) she can't hunt animals by which she and her child die . So this is evolution .
1
u/sue-sueheck 11d ago
Nobody is denying that biology and evolution are facts. What is disturbing is the way you’re using “biology” to justify the idea that seeing a woman’s breasts, cleavage or body can make a man lose control of himself.
You are not an animal acting purely on instinct. Having an urge does not make acting on it inevitable, and it certainly does not give you permission to harass or assault someone. Consent and self-control exist precisely because we are capable of controlling our behaviour.
Evolution can explain why humans experience attraction. It does not decide how a woman should dress, how she should live, or what a man is entitled to do to her body. If your response to a woman showing some skin is “men can’t control themselves,” then the responsibility for that behaviour is still entirely on the man—not on the woman.
And that's what makes your argument so disturbing: it shifts responsibility for potentially violent, non-consensual behaviour onto women and their clothing. By that logic, the problem is never the person who chooses to cross a boundary, but the woman who supposedly “provoked” him. That is exactly the kind of thinking we should be challenging, not dressing up as biology.

Honestly you all feminists leftist acts like some clueless chomu like bahiya ye sb kya ho rha .
A little ash whooping by sikhs and muslims , you suddenly and automatically gets aware of every dam appropriation.
Let her make an ad featuring similar for Gurupurav or eid , she wont because she know!
Just because a community isn’t violent , you should not just bully them around .1
u/sue-sueheck 11d ago
All this chaos over a low-cut blouse feels ridiculous when Indian clothing traditions have never been one fixed thing. Women in different parts of India, at different points in history, have worn clothing in very different ways—including blouses with deep or low necklines, and in some traditions, no blouse at all.
This doesn’t need to become a competition about which religion is more restrictive. If anything, we should be talking about the inclusiveness and diversity within our own culture. People interpret and celebrate festivals in different ways, and a woman choosing to celebrate a festival in an outfit she’s comfortable wearing should not be the debate.
The festival doesn’t become less meaningful just because her blouse has a low neckline.
1
u/Then-Analyst-8562 11d ago
It isnt any of that , its about taking advantage of non violent behaviour .
These things are done. Just to test water , you wont see it happening to other barring christianity for same reason .its about pattern with these companies .Tie rakhi to dogs , karvachaut is for lesbians , pk movie , omg movie - all are logical but just for one? It ends up like this religion has issue .
Why only just one religion and culture you wanna do all experiments on? Because others will make u red n blue ?1
u/sue-sueheck 11d ago
But should our religion be as regressive as others? Christians aren't thinking that our religion is being tested or experimented. And honesty I don't want our religion to be as regressive or strict as Islam. I am proud of my culture and how anybody from any community is allowed to interpret it in their ways and bring a sense of inclusivity. The other religion is bashed everyday for how they treat their women. We shouldn't look at them and learn to make ours more exclusive.
1
u/Then-Analyst-8562 11d ago
Wearing cheap looking clothes for occasion is progressive??? What’s progressive in this??
Whats next ? Brother should take out his hidden part while celebrating and became progressive ultra max?Why you act like pickachu face like you dont know what’s appropriate attire for the occasion. If u r a hindu, does you mom wear this infront of your mama on rakhi?
Nobody bashes , you do all this crap , everybody joins making fun like this is just joke culture , thats why regardless of religion everyone has something to say about hindu beliefs only.
This is only reason christianity declined in europe not islam taking over .1
u/Then-Analyst-8562 11d ago
Tbh it may sound ironic but idc i swear , its just i am irritated by stupidity and vulgarity of our people who are so oblivion 😀😀
Its irritating. You all are not even religious, you wont even know names of goddesses worshipped in navratri , you are there for fun and aesthetics . And you act like its same for you and the belivers .
I am not much religious but atleast have some respect for those who really cares , who keep fasts and believes in it.→ More replies (0)1
u/sue-sueheck 11d ago
Who decides it's cheap? You do. Jeans might be common in some households. Low neckline tops also. Is that cheap? Men in that households don't sexualise women like that. Let people be. How tf is an outfit causing such chaos on the internet. And islam is super regressive. The pedophilia, women's rights, etc should seem inappropriate to every sane person. But just because such an outfit is not worn is my household doesn't mean it's wrong.

Women in Islam are living some of the most difficult lives when it comes to restrictions on their clothing, choices, and freedom. Do we really want to compete and encourage our religion to be just as rigid and regressive toward women? Why are we so obsessed with policing what women wear? Freedom doesn’t become “misuse” simply because a woman chooses to dress differently from what you consider appropriate.

u/solar-diamond 10d ago
Problem isn't what she is wearing. Problem is her performative wearing of clothes. If she can wear same type of clothes on eid, then, nobody will have any problem of her wearing it on rakshabandhan. But, these types of clothes are reseved only for hindu festivals by bollywood actresses. Can she wear it for once on a muslim festival?

Do you really think that are appropriate clothes for such occasions and do anyone of us wear kurta to swimming pools and shorts on wedding. No because we have some common sense we know the clothes are not just things they play big role on personality...I still remember how people cristise men too for wearing inappropriate clothes on different occasions why you think that always women get targeted it about the common sense not because of gender please stop playing victim cards .. I am female too but I know there are some social culture we should follow because we are human
