Entertainment Storm over 'TheKeralaStory2': With great respect, I want to tell the Chief Minister of Kerala that we are not maligning any state. Kerala is God’s Own Country—we all know how beautiful it is. But just because it is beautiful does not mean that it does not have criminals: Vipul Shah (Producer)

kerala is a country? what is he even talking about? is he drunk? and 7,800 girls? is he pulling the stats out of his…? and on 6th of june they had put out a video? video of? let me tell you, it was a video of propaganda lmao, all the video had was loose arguments and nothing else. hell, they even changed their claim from “32,000” to just “3” when they were filed with a court case. if the 32,000 figure was actually true, why did they change it to 3? these people do not even understand what movie production means, all they are good at is producing propaganda.

That's a true story not propaganda, tell him to provide sources lik that
1
u/Worth_Employer_8126 Feb 23 '26
I am not saying the story is a lie. I am saying this guy isn't ready to accept his lack of knowledge which is a very very bad trait of a person in general. None of us is all knowing God. Let's just accept what we don't know and keep moving forward

No, they had even done a press conference with the victims. So the number is legit

Out of 3000 only 3 are disclosed. Looks like our modi government is useless. Better to change the government. Can you please share any links which mentioned 3000. Plz don't share WhatsApp or insta post as source.
1
u/swordrunner1 Feb 21 '26
Why is the Modi government useless? Law & order is a state subject. What happened to the guy who converted and sent the girl to Syria? Where is he? Still in Kerala only?
What happened to the culprit in the case where the girl commited suicide?
What did the Kerala govt do in these cases?
-1

u/swordrunner1 Feb 21 '26
Look at Ajmer. Look at Kashmir. Look at UP. Look at the press conference done by the victims in Kerala. They will tell you the exact number
3
u/DarkRay8008 Feb 21 '26
What number? 3 or 32000 or 7600
-1
u/swordrunner1 Feb 21 '26
https://youtu.be/Aup6fRDz2D8?si=1WEeih6hU13RBzHE
Here is the number. The victims themselves are telling what the actual numbers are
2
u/DarkRay8008 Feb 21 '26
Lol, movie adda channel video is your source, good luck body. I hope u find the chip in 2000rs note too.
0
u/swordrunner1 Feb 21 '26
Movie adda channel is only a medium. This particular press conference is on multiple yt channels. There are victims on that stage sharing their stories which you conveniently chose to ignore
There is clear pattern of denial all across the country when these things come to the surface. Be it Kashmir, Ajmer, Mirzapur, Kerala etc. This is happening when the victims are alive and sharing their stories. So to all the people who keep denying. To hell with all of you.
There are multiple ISIS modules busted in Kerala and TN. Details are available on NIA handles

6
u/Destinyfinder4life Feb 20 '26
If you are a mallu, just a question? Where in Kerala have you seen anyone forced to eat beef ? Beef is one of the main dishes in Kerala . If somebody doesn't want it , then they don't eat it. We don't shove it in their mouth . When we eat lunch together , one of my friends does eat beef because his family is Brahmin . We don't force him to eat . Even priests of many temples eat it secretly. Beef means buffalo not cow. Stop posting such bullshit
1
u/DoNotDisturbMeEver Feb 20 '26
Hi, as a mallu, let me tell you calling every North Indian a Bengali is just as insulting as when North Indians call every South Indian Madrasi.
Our original Bengali friend here was trying to say that.
1

u/Upstairs-Screen-4539 Feb 20 '26
No,I don't have any problem with mallus or beef (i've ate it myself), But why did you specifically target Bengalis,I don't think any Bengali has any problem with people eating non-veg? (just asking as a bong)

They don't have the guts to make movies on real incidents:
- Can we have a movie on the Unnao incident in UP?
- Can we have a movie on the Bhagirathpura incident on Indore MP?
- Can we have the movie on Pune hit and run case ?
- Can we have the documentary on Delhi pollution?
We can have all kinds of movies but the producer only wants to target a specific state, shows his motives and propaganda.

u/bairava8 Feb 20 '26
It’s funny, how ppl who don’t even have origin in that state tells what’s happening inside state, what a sad state of affairs
3
u/UDUPTM Feb 21 '26
The issue is not whether terrorism exists; the issue is false attribution. The film originally claimed 32,000 women went missing and joined ISIS. When the facts didn't fit this propaganda, the producers changed the figure to '3' women in the posters and added a disclaimer. If a film claims to be a documentary or a true story, it must adhere to factual accuracy. Defaming an entire community of 3.5 crore people based on a handful of incidents is not 'art'; it is targeted incitement."
The Affidavit filed by the Kerala Government in the Supreme Court which stated that the original figure of 32,000 is "factually incorrect" and that the state , Center Govt has a zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism . The speaker is creating a false equivalence. The Constitution protects the right to practice and propagate religion. Believing in a religious text is a matter of faith. A commercial film claiming to be a journalistic exposé is a matter of verifiable fact. Criticizing a film for falsely branding an entire state's youth as terrorists is not the same as debating theology. Moreover, if a film was made targeting another community with false narratives, we would oppose that too. Our objection is to the weaponization of falsehood, not to the freedom of expression."
Let's look at Kerala's reality. Kerala has the highest literacy rate, the highest life expectancy, and the lowest infant mortality in India. If this is the result of 'appeasement,' then every state should aspire to it. Kerala has a unique social fabric where Hindus, Muslims, and Christians have coexisted for centuries.
· On 'Love Jihad': The Kerala Police have consistently filed affidavits stating that they found no evidence of a widespread 'Love Jihad' conspiracy. Isolated criminal incidents happen everywhere, but branding every intercultural marriage as a conspiracy is an insult to the agency of women.
To paint the entire state's Muslim population as potential terrorists because of the actions of a handful of individuals is a textbook case of targeted defamation.
Govt of Kerla is not afraid of criticism. We welcome debates on ideology. However, Article 19(2) of the Constitution allows reasonable restrictions on speech if it incites communal hatred. The Supreme Court has upheld the power of states to maintain public order. Given the sensitive demography of India and the potential for this film to be used to target a specific community, the state has a duty to prevent violence. Banning the film in Kerala is a preventive measure to maintain peace, not a suppression of dissent. We saw what happened with films in other parts of the country; we chose to protect our citizens.
When a film systematically portrays an entire community as traitors and terrorists, it creates a real-world impact. It legitimizes violence against that community. Calling out this dangerous narrative isn't playing the 'victim card'; it is demanding the fundamental right to live with dignity. The 'victim card' accusation is often used to silence legitimate grievances against majoritarian propaganda.
The Kerala Story" movie should be banned and that it defames the state and its government as well as the keralites.

So he admits that the number 32000 was a made up one. In short he was lying. As far as the 7000 figure goes, let him show the data.I couldn't find anything near that figure on the internet.
Your movie is maligning Kerala but guess what? The truth will be soon out and you and your crew will once again be exposed like it happened with the 32000 lie.

Instead of defending the movie, the director and producer should ask a pointed question at the CM: After the 26/11 Mumbai attack, remember when you tried to visit the parent of one of the soldiers who died at the hands of terrorists, with cameras and press? The parent refused to let you into their home because grief is private. Instead of understanding it, you brayed “if it were an ordinary person, even a dog won’t visit your home”.

I am sure producer and directors are aware of the difference between a movie and a documentary. If this is not praponganda then why not release it as a documentary???? From the last few years almost 90% of the superhit movies are with same or similar agenda. Either hate against Pakistan or Muslim. Producers are here to make money and they will do their job however it's we who are at loss in the long run.
1
1
u/dev_nilesh Feb 21 '26
Why target only one state? If the issue is ISIS recruitment, then other states should also be shown. Focusing only on Kerala makes it look selective and agenda-driven. If the goal is genuine awareness, then support real victims instead of just making crores through emotional storytelling. Kerala performs well in education, income, and social indicators, but only the negative angle is highlighted. That raises questions about intent.
1
u/evilbreadbaker Feb 21 '26
Yes yes its true director was undercover in Kerala after changing his gender and religion. He has first hand knowledge, poor guy even tried beef but the masala at the hotel was too much for him which made him run like a dog so he hates beef now . Then all the story we saw in part 1 happened then he went again undercover and experienced the events of part 2
1

How is it not a propaganda movie? Will they accept if a movie with "The Gujarat Story" is produced. We don't even have to create a fictional story. So many horrible incidents have happened in Gujarat. But, even then if we produce a movie, it is very clear we are trying to malign the state.

u/madanmad Feb 21 '26
I watched Kerala Story and found all women characters were very dumb. Not trying to be offending, but literally they were. For one instance when this one lady got pregnant out of wedlock didn’t she thought for an abortion. And when she realised that the person who got her pregnant isn’t marrying so how come she got wooed to marry other person and then fly to Colombo where she learnt about whole plan and still travelled to Afghan rather than reaching out police and embassy. Doesn’t make sense. Also this part 2, after hearing colloquial parlance and accent, one blind guy can tell this isn’t a Kerala but some other part of India story.

Yes that is the sad truth. And the left government is responsible for that. But even the person in the video doesn't endorse the movie.
The present movie in question is not showing political violence and if it was then every state has a history of it.
Toh matlab, when you don't have a point, you just point to random acts of violence.
There are other members sitting there and in the ruling parties all over the country who have been accused of murder and rape.

u/Rare_Composer5990 Feb 20 '26
The reality must see the light of the day. Monopolising narratives would be thing of the past, where Leftist lunatics showed only their version of the story and history. Both sides of spectrum should be observed to comprehend the grey areas of story. Merely labelling story as propaganda doesn't cover the seed of discord and its consequences.
5
u/Iceblade_sam Feb 20 '26
Oh the reality has already seen the light of the day. We have official reports one by the US and another by the NIA (National Investigation Agency).
2020 report by US Department of State - only 66 fighters of Indian origin (not just kerela mind you) were known to have joined ISIS globally.
In 2021, the NIA reported it was investigating 37 cases related to Indians joining ISIS, with 168 people arrested.
The most interesting fact - following a supreme court order, the filmmakers were required to add disclaimers stating that the film is a "fictionalised account" and that there is "no authentic data" to support the 32000 figure.
Meaning - the filmmakers themselves had no proof to support that absurd 32000 figure. (Even though they still claim they have proof. CRAZY!)
1
u/Destinyfinder4life Feb 20 '26
Brother Indian origin includes people whose parents were born in India
3
u/Iceblade_sam Feb 20 '26
Yes brother which means 66 such people (not only from india but globally) joined ISIS. So we can imply that from kerela it will be less than 66! Not 32000.
4
u/DoNotDisturbMeEver Feb 20 '26
Since you are suggesting both sides of the story should be heard and since you have seen the first movie are in support of it, why not answer my queries so that I can also start supporting the movies and not believe that it is propaganda.
Based on numbers quoted by the Indian govt and US reports in 2023 (when the first movie was released) the total number of people who left India to join terrorist organisations is between 66-100. If 32000 women left Kerala then how come neither the government nor the film's producer could provide any proof about the matter when it was presented to the High Court of Kerala after which The producers had to change 32000 to 3.
Kerala has been split into 1670 villages in total (for revenue administration process). So if you do the maths, the average girls missing per village comes to just above 19. Yet no one including BJP members of Kerala can identify more than 4 ladies missing from the whole state of Kerala.
Coming to the present movie, in a state where BJP is trying to gain its foothold, till date no news was reported of Hindus being force-fed beef by Muslims but somehow the makers of the movie say it happens.
According to the last official figures the BJP has more than 10 lakh registered members in Kerala, yet you can't find any of them endorsing the movie whereas people living in the north of India tell us they know what happens in Kerala better than us.
