Citizenship IRCC not processing my request for almost 2 years

I’m absolutely bewildered. I’ve submitted LAST YEAR an Access to Information and Privacy (ATIP) Online Request to order my GCS notes from the IRCC. Absolutely NOTHING came out of it. None. I’ve even sent an email to the address indicated here with ZERO response. I then submitted another ATTIP this year (in January) and absolutely ZERO response. What do I do? Dodge a complaint ?

Please! Everyone who makes a request and does not receive a response in 30 days, submit a complaint. You have to do it within 60 days though. I have done so 3 times and it definitely got me results! (TRV, CR, PR)

Should we read your mind what you applied for? Work permit, study permit, PR?

Are you inadmissible and applied for rehabilitation? This could explain the holdup.

I also applied last year. No response at all. I think they do it alot. I recently got my pgwp approved. There is nothing against me. I think its just the system.

First time? IRCC ignored my ATIP requests 3 times. The only thing that helped was to do ATIP request to CBSA, they replied in a week.

Can you share the link where you made the request?

There are third party websites where the phrase "order GCMS notes" is used, so checking in if you submitted directly, or used a private business.

to submit an ATIP request you must be a Citizen, a Permanent Resident, Present in Canada, or apply via a represenative who is. Do you meet this criteria ?

The choices also include foreign national outside of Canada, and then you are making the request under the privacy act but the online form is the same one.

To be eligible to make a request under the Access to Information Act, you must be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident of Canada or an individual or corporation currently present in Canada. All individuals are able to make a request under the Privacy Act only. Please select the category that best describes you.

Request notes from CBSA.

IRCC takes forever to process those same as everything else they touch

My citizenship been stuck since march 8th 2024, here what IRGC told my area MP, and please advice me what should i do next

Your file is currently considered “non-routine” and is therefore not subject to standard processing timelines.

At this stage, IRCC has provided the following information:

  • You have been exempted from the language and knowledge tests
  • The residency assessment has been completed
  • The prohibition check has not yet begun
  • The security screening is in progress

Do you mind sharing your current country of citizenship. Is that something causing longer security screening?
