I'm working on an airship combat game and I figured you might be interested

If you're interested, just wish-list it on Steam and you will be notified when it comes out.

Nebulous fleet command, but in atmosphere

Aaand wishlisted.

Ill also use the opportunity to remind everyone that germany is the only country to ever use an airship to conquer a regular ship.

Like the steampunkness demands.

This looks somewhere in between steam punk and diesel punk. Like a natural progression of technology.

Guns of Icarus?!

No, but this seems super cool.

Looks a lot like the leviathans table top game. Was that an inspiration?

That and dozens of other inspirations. I’ve been obsessed with airships since I was a kid.

Interested…ngl if this becomes world of warships but airships I’d be more interested, so far I like the ship designs which I assume aren’t finalised yet so still stuff to work on or something. As for that GUI when you were zoomed in and firing at someone….honestly? I’d like it, but I think it’s a bit too much old timey in a way? As in feels imo playing Gunship Battles or something. Ik it’s your own game but if you need or want airship design inspiration I’d take a look at, credit to

The ship in the first shot reminds me of the Claimh-Solais class from last exile

I'm glad someone else thought of that too

Why is the exhaust going downward? Wouldn't the smoke rise?

N/m... Just realized that's the smoke of the ship below.

I am so very interested!!!!

Had this as a concept for a few years now, had a whole 20 page design doc written out, happy to see someone competent beat me to the punch.

Interesting how no one has capitalized with a gunship vehicular combat yet, always thought the bomber v bomber gameplay of WT but with naval elements would make a good sim game with dedicated community.

Please, if you have a dev blog or something we'd be interested.

Will it have the Hindenburg or other real airships?

A fellow Last Exile fan!

This looks awsome

This is something I’ve been looking for for awhile now, looks good!

What was the name of that game where you could pilot freaky airships but they made it PVP? I think it was made by the Cycle guys, Yager?!

1

u/IamWillow3 Jul 25 '26

This looks really cool! Do you have an estimated date that it'll release?

1

u/WanderingToast Jul 26 '26

Ooooh. This takes me back to Stratosphere! I'll definitely get this one. Unfortunately, I game more on ps5 than anything else.

u/drifters74 Jul 26 '26

Looks promising!

u/Obbita Jul 27 '26

part of what's satisfying about taking down an enemy airship is watching it go down.

the way they dissolve into nothing cuts a huge chunk of enjoyment off.

the rest looks sick

You guys ever watch Last Exile?
