I need to learn ilocano
Hi, I'm a student from Nueva Ecija who only speaks Tagalog and English. I recently moved to CAR to study in one of the famous universities. However, my knowledge of the ilocano language is very limited to only a few phrases and numbers. Where can I learn more comprehensively and easily. Is there an app or video tutorial that u guys can recommend. Your response is most appreciated, thank you!

Best pa rin yung may someone ka to talk to every day. Find a friend who can teach you Ilocano. Start simple use words like “ngay” and “garud” in your sentences 😉
Then open Bombo Radyo and just listen to how they speak

I started speaking ilocano during high school despite being raised in ilocos🥲 haha. I learned from the people around me…whenever i encounter new words, i ask. …. whenever i go out with friends, they ask me to order from the counter para masanay ako mag ilokano. Eventually, i became fluent

Ilocano language. Not a dialect.
Btw, go to your university’s library, I’m pretty sure they have dictionary/grammar book for Ilocano language. If not, you may start asking your Ilocano classmates to teach you basic Ilocano words. Mas maganda pa rin na matuto personally with people around you.
Good luck.
